Pine Hills Golf Club - 1st time and maybe no 2nd
Positives, staff was very friendly and approachable. The greens were in good shape overall and the course is open to accurate drives. Overall the course was in rough condition. Even in the fairways the grass was sparse with lots of patches that were dirt and sand to hit from. The pin placement was good, although the cups were all pulled upward and crowned at the top, making slow putts extremely hard to drop into the cup.
Pace of play was good. Played 18 holes in 3 1/2 hrs. Overall the signage was difficult to navigate around the course. The scorecard doesn’t have a course hole by hole layout depicted on it. Made the first time here difficult to make good club selection without a range finder. We’ve been playing a different course each week. Play this course aware of its limitations and look for a special price or hot deal before you book. DRH
Father and son time
My son's first time out and he found it enjoyable. I have always enjoyed this course.
cancelled due to weather Nice people who work the clubhouse
The greens looked great
It’s an ok course at a great price, and a great place to go work on your game. Most of the fairways are really wide open. Greens are in great shape.
A great, reasonable place to play
So not a pristine golf course, this is a reasonable place to play with a fantastic staff who try to help you in every way! It is always pleasure to come here!
For the money you cannot go wrong at Pine Hills
I’ve paid way more money to play at courses not as good as Pine Hills. It is not an elite course, but it is maintained properly and offers some great opportunities for beginners and intermediate golfers. No frills, honest golf to be had here with friendly folks running the show. I’ve met a lot of nice golfers on the course as well, and lots of good golf with new people as well as we played out a round.
Good for the price
Greens were great and very fast. Tee boxes were not great at all. Pace of play was horrible. Took 4 hours and 40 minutes for a twosome to play 18 with a cart. I’ve walked 18 in less time. Cool layout. Many holes are blind so you have to drive up to see if you’re clear to hit.
Very good layout but the grass if any was in sad shape might be in better shape come summer when they get grass in the fair way greens were in pretty good shape
Avg muni
Course was about average for this time of year, especially following lots of recent rain. Hole #15 is unplayable due to construction, and the layout makes it a very tough hole anyway.
Nice Day
Expected a very cold day but warmed up nicely. greens are fast and unpredictible. guess thats good! had a great time. Range balls are reasonable. would go there more often but an hour away..
