Playing time
Not happy with people playing in front of us playing two or three balls on tee off.
Greens are the best feature
Greens were great, a little furry, but they held the approach and rolled true. T boxes and fairways need a lot of work.
Tee box disaster
Some tee boxes are not in good shape although the greens are in excellent condition.
Terrible course and management
Played on 5/11/24, had a 1:30 tee time for a single golfer. Sat at first tee box for 20 minutes waiting on groups that should have tee’d off at 12:30 but the course is double and triple booking tee times due to poor management. Rangers do not enforce speed of play rules. Large group of 6 high school kids were 2 groups ahead of me, the other groups and I, all waited for 10 minutes at the tee box for them to finish hitting 30+ balls off the tee box with the ranger watching, and saying nothing to them. No one in the clubhouse was willing to do anything about it either. Course was in terrible condition.
Overall, the course just needs to be shut down or someone else needs to take it over.
I do not recommend anyone play here, you’re better off traveling a little bit further away, and going to play at Royal Lakes in Gainesville. It’s maybe $10-15 more for a round, but highly managed and a beautiful course.
Ok Golfer
Good place for beginners to learn the game. Just overbooked.
Pretty good and getting better!
While the fairways are quite pristine, and the T-boxes could be flatter, I love seeing the work they are putting into developing the course! The greens are becoming quite nice in appearance and performance!
I hope the cost doesn't break 40 on a Saturday any time soon, but it is a nice place to play for a while.
Slow
Players don’t respect tee times. Ours was 3:306and we were there at 3:15 and got in line. People in front were 3:06 and just jumped in line. Ranger didn’t say a word. Lady and son behind us were at 3:20 and show up at 3:30. 5aone group behind them. Teed off finally at 3:55 and barely finished at 8:40 and that was only because 2 of ours only played 9 and 2 dropped out in 4sone in front of us so we just grouped up. Greens were like fairways I’ve played on. But what can you say for $30. Oh and they didn’t sell alcohol
Little rough
Fairways are rough and the greens have been aerated and sanded. Putting is a challenge as you can watch the ball hop along towards the hole. Should be better with time.
