The course is hard
Need to know the course and it’s great if you like shot placement and not using driver every hole
Hidden gem
Started playing again...looked for cheaper course. Course was in great shape. My only complaint is that you have some back to back par 5s but course was in better shape then courses 3x the cost...greens were slow
Great course If you suck like me. If you miss one fairway you can always hit it from the one next to it. Price is decent I think it was cheaper a couple weeks ago though
fair course, cart path no
the course is pretty good for beginners to moderates. but the cart paths will raddle you and your clubs to death. the greens have improved the last year.
Great course for the money..
No car girl, hotdogs and chips on the menu, no beer… But fantastic course for the money. I had a great time and would definitely come back.
Money money money’
All this turn in revenue over the past couple months from covid and people having way more free time has absolutely sparked this course. The greens are rolled perfect and the turf has been renewed and brought back to life. If you go here, go in the morning you’ll be very pleased. It starts to pick up in the noon times.
Cow Pasture turned into Golf Course
If they gave me free green fees with a cold drink I would not waste my gas to get here. Truer words have never been spoken as one reviewer who stated "This place makes me want to give up the game of golf" My friend use to work there, begged me to come play for free and I would not. Why? when I can play real golf courses with excellent conditions much closer to home. You guys can have it...not me.
Played once, never going back.
Worst Pace of play of any course I have ever played at. You would literally have to wait 10 minutes at every single Tee-box. I’d like to give this course the benefit of the doubt that it was a busy day or something, but judging by the other reviews I think this is a recurrent problem and it was the most unpleasant day of golf I have ever experienced. I do not plan on ever going back
Great value
Overall course was in good shape, the greens were on the slow side. This course was a good course for the cost, I would recommend.
Greens slow but nice.
Played on a Saturday and it was pretty busy. I almost got hit three or four times from Erin drives from rookie golfers. Actually mention to one of them that just drove up get ready to hit without saying a word. I told him it was courteous to say for when you came close to hitting another golfer. Just got a blank stare. The layout was quite interesting. Mini blind tea shots if you didn't know where to go you could easily get in trouble. Tea boxes were a little rough. Fairways rolled great because there wasn't much grass. Other than that it was a very interesting experience. I would like to go back and play it again.
Abusive Staff
Let me start by saying that I have been playing at this cow pasture course for about 14 years. Today might have been my last round here. The only reason I book this course is because it is cheap. Today, following the arrive of my entire foursome, fifteen minutes before our scheduled tee time, we waited on the tee box for two groups ahead of us to tee off. Then we got to the tee box, now five minutes past our scheduled tee time. For some reason (most likely pure and simple nepotism) the started allowed two players to go past us, to the forward tees and tee off; as we were about to tee up our first shot. According to the starter, they had played the back nine first so they were now going to go in front of us, and the other two parties behind us on the first tee. When I asked why the this was happening the starter responded "because he let them through", when I inquired further as to why he did this, his only response was "do you want to play?" Meaning that if I did not cease my inquiry he, as the volunteer starter, would be able to prevent my playing the course. I then asked if we could go off the back nine as this group did, there was no one on the tee at ten or the green of nine at the time. Again the starter asked in a condescending, quasi-authoritative tone, "if I would like to play?" Sir, you hold no power. The course you work at is a joke. We were also hit into four times by three different groups. In the future I will most likely pay the extra 10 bucks to a place that does not have militant, old stink-bags as starters. One stars, don't check it out.
Post Script: We for out from behind the twosome that cut in front while we were playing hole four because one of them almost messed his pants.
Horrible
When I got there I was in line at the first hole 12 minutes before my tee time. Waited 40 minutes before I tee d off. Every body was scheduled on top of each other and the golf cart paths are terrible.
Worst pace
Never have I played a course in which I was waiting 10+ minutes just to hit my ball. Then once you hit it, you have to wait 10 more minutes! I played once in mid May and thought it was a fluke, everyone was just excited to get back out after the quarantine, but played again today and the same thing happened! At any given time there are non less than 6 people waiting for the tee box. The first time I turned around after 5 holes and cut my losses, today I made it 12 holes before it became unbearable. This has the potential to be a fun and challenging course, but you cant get a feel for it when you have 3 twosomes breathing down your neck, while you're breathing down the neck of 3 other threesomes! Really hope they figure out their tee time situations, but until then I will not be coming back.
