Harborside
Great day and greens are fast! Course is a good challenging experience. No water on the course and cart paths could use maintenance. Some sand traps needed maintenance. Otherwise it is good shape.
Wonderful time
I played with my 91 year old father and we had wonderful time playing a challenging course.
Pace of Play Ruined Good Course
Groups of slow players who were playing multiple balls and even waiting for group in front of them to get to the greens on par 5s to start. At the 4 hour mark we played 13 holes so I ended my round. No marshall and the starter just sent people off as they showed up. First time having this experience at this course.
Nice course
If you're visiting Chicago and staying in the city (downtown) this is THE PLACE to go to. Easy on/off the interstate and amazing views. Sure, it can be a little pricey, but it's a good value and classy place.
Cart Paths
Cart paths are in terrible shape with many pot holes. Required you to drive around car paths to avoid damaging cart.

Overpriced course for the conditions. Cart path had Potholes filled with water all over the course. Worst cart paths I have ever been on. Weeds growing out of the waste bunkers. I only played here because I had a discounted tee time. i would never pay full price around $125 for this course.
Port course
First, I set up a teatime for the starboard course and when we arrive, I was told we got moved to the port Course your website says you open at 7 AM. We drove there from Michigan got there at 7 AM and we had to sit outside the gate for 35 minutes waiting for someone to open the gate. Then when we get inside, nobody was in the pro shop for another 15 minutes. We was given a golf cart that only had enough charge to get us to the third hole and we had to have another golf cart brought to us and on top of all that the car pass were horrendous
Very good, but could be great.
The Starboard Course is in excellent condition, except for the bunkers, which need more and better-quality sand. The course is challenging from the Championship tees, and the layout is a complete test of golf for the low—to mid-handicap golfer.

Ranger wanted to make it our fault
Kept asking what we did wrong
When replacement cart came, young guy said they have had problems with that one and thought it was fixed. He was very apologetic. Starter/Ranger was an ***, is the only reason I won’t play there again. I guess customer service is low on there priorities.
Best in Chicago
Harborside is the best golfing venue in the city, about 20-25 minutes from downtown. Everything you need for a great golfing experience!
