Most of the fairways are generous, and the holes are separated from each other. Almost no interaction with players on different holes.
Never disappoints
I always enjoy playing at Highland Woods. The fairways are pretty wide and forgiving for the most part, which also makes it good for beginners like my son. The course is in great condition, the prices are reasonable, and the staff are super friendly. Highly recommend.
Course
Great place to play, course is wide and challenging which is always good. I would recommend to anyone.
Forgiving course
The course is very forgiving off the tee. The bunkers are not maintained very well and the sand is not consistent hole to hole. The greens are in good shape and have nice undulations making a seemingly easy course harder to score on.
Showed up for my reservation got to the first tee box the people they paired me with who I didn’t know started touching my stuff

I decided right then and there that I didn’t want to play when inside let them know they also told me that they would enjoy keeping my money this place is ridiculous not taking COVID-19 back to my family
I played this course 15 years ago and always carried the idea that was a boring kind of Scrappy Forest Preserve course. I played again last week with no expectations and was pleasantly surprised they have put so much work into this course the greens were terrific true and fast. I am very pleased with what they have done great job guys
Another well updated forest preserve course
Play quite a few of the forest preserve courses. This one was great. Great conditions, well maintained. Only downside which is not the course issue but Mother Nature, hot blazing sun not a lot of shade to cool off.
Highlands Woods
The course is in great shape. The pace of play was just right and the greens were in good shape. The course is very forgiving with generous land areas. A must play!
