Ravisloe Country Club

Ravisloe is just fantastic. Designed by the legend Donald Ross. I believe it’s Ross’ only designed public track in Illinois. Take a very flat piece of land and make it exceptional. Awesome fairway and greenside bunkers with tough elevated greens. I’ll be honest several years ago I wasn’t a fan. Mainly because I could never score well. You shouldn’t rate a course that way but sometimes frustrating tracks can do that to you. I’ve learned how to play Ravisloe and continue to appreciate this gem each and every time I return. Love a course that you don’t have to mindlessly pull driver each time. I played last week May 2019 and was shocked on how great the conditions were. Chicagoland has been pounded by rain and the only issue was deep into the rough which was soggy and drenched but almost every course this year has had that issue. Played with a friend and finished under 3 hours. Bunkers were absolutely incredible, unfortunately I was in quite a few to experience them. Plenty of sand so bottoming out your wedge wasn’t an issue. Greens were a touch slow due to the damp conditions but rolled perfectly.

The huge old oak trees are just awesome throughout the entire property. Definitely recommend this course especially if they continue with their tip top maintenance.

Love this course, one of my favorite on the south side. If you can get a hit deal for cost of a round of golf, this can be the best deal ever!

Course was in great shape. Greens were good sized and fast. Fairways gave you alot of roll. Rough alittle long. Carts are electric and run great. Close by traffic on front 9 aliittle annoying but tolerable.

Really enjoyed the course-very little water in play but bunkers all over!

Course wasn't in the best shape, certainly not as good as usual. However, early in the season, and greens hadn't been cut yet. Front 9 pace was great, however, backed up later in day as a foursome wouldn't let a twosome play through. Ranger would have been helpful.

Just wanted to take a minute to thank the young starter that came out on such a cold day. He was nice enough to give us a cart with a wind cover on it. Sure made the morning more bearable!! Course was in great shape but frozen. Still had a nice time.

While we all experience frost delays in the Chicago area during this time of year, sometimes the management and rangers need to coordinate to do things and treat people equally, whether it is a paying customer or your employees. Several customers who have already payed and have been waiting over 1 hour watched one of your employees drive out to the tenth tee and start playing while over 16 people stood at the first tee and were not allowed to tee off of 10th hole after your employee started on the 10th hole. The excuse we were given by the ranger was that he was an employee only playing 3 holes before he starts working at noon! Are you kidding me? And then you do not allow payed customers to follow an employee that conditions were playable for him to tee off at 11:10. Unbelievable. I play this course 7-10 times a year and I often bring and pay for my father in law. Let’s call it a dozen rounds a year, plus beverages, lunch from time to time and range balls as well. That is $1,000 of my business alone that you will never see from me. We left your course with a rain check because we were told a refund was not possible. Crazy. We left and walked onto Coyote Run at 11:35 and finished before 2pm. I will play your course one more time with my rain check, but will never spend another dollar there. Shameful

Kudo's Ravisloe management! The staff was exceptional. Although we played on a Golf Now tee time we were treated like a member. Thanks for stepping up your game.

Finished a 4:45 hr round. There were no Marshall’s on the course almost every hole from the 2 hole on we had 2-4 4 sums on every hole. Finally i called the pro shop on hole 11 because we had 4 4sums on this par 3 hole. Some guy showed up talked to 2 groups and left, but never monitored their pace. One person in our 4 some quit playing after hole 12 due to very slow play.
