Ravisloe Country Club

This is a wonderful Ross classic design with a superior routing more common with these classic courses. Many wonderful features including cross bunkers and steep faced green side bunkers. This course experience would be improved if the green speeds were maintained at a faster pace to better bring into play the exceptionally designed green complexes. That would make good into very good.

Ravisloe is a beautifully maintained Donald Ross course and the only public Ross course in Illinois. I’ve played at least ten rounds last year and was never disappointed with conditions or pace of play. The staff is friendly and helpful, encouraging golfers to stay on pace. Add Ravisloe to your “must play” list!

The course and the clubhouse both have a great pedigree, and it really shows in the quality of the experience before, during and after golf. Attentive staff and nice comfortable atmosphere. I brought some friends who belong to exclusive north shore clubs for a round at Ravisloe and they loved it too!

I have golfed at Ravisloe on numerous occasions and even have held golf outings at the course. I find the staff to be very outgoing, friendly and helpful. The course was in great condition last season! I look forward to playing there again in the coming season

When Ravisloe was a private course, it was only by member invitation that I got to play it - which means for the first 40 years of my golf life, I did not play the Homewood gem. Since the good doctor acquired the property, I'm here at least six times a year for golf, another six for lunch, and at least a dozen times to soak up the ambience from an afternoon drink on the patio.

If you live 100 miles from the Chicago and enjoy the game, Ravisloe is a MUST...

Ravisloe was designed by Donald Ross as was Pinehurst. Many of the same traits are evident at Ravisloe. The course is in a very quiet and peaceful setting, even though it is in the Chicagoland area.A very enjoyable club house and refreshment area as well.

If you are playing Ravisloe on a discounted tee time be prepared to be treated like a third class citizen. Don't expect to get a cart to drive to driving range or anywhere else for that matter until 10 minutes prior to your tee time. This is an especially hard policy on SENIORS and people with disabilities. Hopefully the 2018 golf season will bring common sense and compassion to the management.

Lived in the area for 30+ years. Finally played here twice. Summer & Fall. Hope to be back many times in 2018.

I really enjoy playing Donald Ross courses. I love that the greens are guarded with really gnarly sand traps. My daughter is 4ft 10 inches and pretty much disappeared into 2 of the sand traps. Some of the fairways are a little tight and with the greens being guarded and inverted, the course makes for a tough round. I love the challenge especially since everyone thinks that we need to make courses longer and longer. The guys in the clubhouse were really nice and knowledgeable.

My favorite place to play. Great layout with lots of trouble, deep traps, many trees, must play a thoughtful round in order to score well. Nice practice area, great outdoor bar area with views of the course from an expansive veranda. Love to play here or just come for lunch when the weather is nice.

Great course, very well maintained with friendly staff. I play here 10-15 rounds a year.

Played on 40 degree sunny day. Great deal. One of my favorite courses

I course that was rehabbed about 8 years ago but keeping its classic 1901 design not long at just under 6400 years it has pleantyof bunkers to smack down the long hitters some of the bunkers are so deep they have stairs. Nice undulating greens you will have a few three put here some of the par 3’s are lone one at 200 yards one at 225 yards It’s a course that keeps you thinking two par 5 ‘s in the 1 st three holes hit the range 1 st our you may not be ready. I liked course and I will be back in 2018

Entered the wrong date, should have been the 8th, and not the ninth. When I enquired about the mix up. I was told the I could not get a credit because that group played on that day. I would be reluctant to use this service again.

A great layout..The courses is in excellent condition for this late in the season... had a great time although it was a bit chilly only 35°

Greens in good shape, fairways in good shape ( as always). Soogy conditions, raining. Played as a single . Finished in three hours. Staff was great.

Had a great time although I ran up on a threesome that must have been beginners or just didn’t have any Golf etiquette cause they wouldn’t let me play through!
