The sand traps are a total joke they are almost totally full of weeds uncalled for for a professionally managed course

5--somes with 3 carts should be addressed. Otherwise, all is good at RRGC.

Very Disappointing
I have been a resident in River Trails Park District and played golf at Rob Roy many many times over the last 20 years, It is very disappointing to see the shape that this course is now in. There have been multiple dead trees scattered around the course for the last 3 or 4 years. The planters are all full of weeds. The sand traps have not been touched this year and have more grass than sand in them. There were at least 12 broken carts in the pen, and the ones that do run are in terrible shape. The gentleman checking us in was rude and didn't give us our resident discount. There are no rangers on course to keep pace of play. Needless to say, we no longer make it a priority to play at our home course and choose to go elsewhere.

Bad. Shape
This use to be a "go to" course, but no more. Sand traps are horrible, no restaurant. Iy's convenient. The principle reason we play there.

too many workers
I realize that there is a drought and that management is trying to keep ahead of it but there were too many workers on the course --- very distracting. They moved the "sprinkler" when you needed to hit so they did their best but ... I won't likely play on a Friday morning again. I'm assuming that they were trying to get the course ready for the weekend. The pro shop staff was very good. My cart needed some TLC --- very slow.

Course is in Good Shape ....
... but the bunkers need work.
Despite a lack of rain recently, the fairways and greens are in pretty good shape. Several bunkers, though, are becoming overgrown with weeds and look like they haven't been taken care of this season (maybe longer).

Missing communications and oversite
Times delayed 1 hr because of morning frost, however no communications to afternoon players as to whether their T times would be delayed. Youth league (Unsupervised?) caused unneeded delays as they were acting like teenage kids.....without regards to those behind them. No on course ranger monitoring or trying to address delays. 2.5 hour 9 hole round

This is a well maintained 8-hole course that gives high value and a reasonable challenge.
