Tough Course
Very nice 9 hole course that is definately challenging. Pace of play is usually pretty good considering there are no course employees to keep up the pace. Bring extra balls because you are going to lose a few on this course. Course layout is excellent with most of the holes surrounded by water or playing left to right or right to left. Course is always in great shape, pretty good management out there. Probably one of the toughest par five's I have ever played is on this course. Everyone should give this course a try just once it really brings you down to reality if you think your getting the hang of this game. (laughing) Clubhouse is spotless.

Excellent value fo 3,000+ yard course. Fairways and greens good. Sand traps in bad shape.
Tight course with houses on inside and roads close around perimeter. Have to be careful.

Good course just a little over priced for a 9 hole course.
Overall it is a great 9 hole course. It has some challenging holes. The only issue is the greens fees - just seems a little over priced compared to other courses of similar quality - I can find several courses of comparable quality where I can play 18 w cart for about the same $$ I paid at Rob Roy for 9?

Great for seniors
I played with the Park Ridge league on Wednesdays for 10 years and an 4 - 5 other times during a year. Always fun and playable.
Course Conditions
I have played this course every year for several years. I have witnessed a steady decline in the condition of the course. Sand traps have been ignored. Weeds have become rampant. Bushes have grown to heights of 14 feet! Trees long dead remain.
It is obvious that ownership has made a conscious decision not to re-invest in the maintenance of the course. From.a business perspective, there is a huge difference between minimizing expenses - a good thing - and investing so as to attract new and steady business.
This could be one of the very best 9 hole course in the area, but without attending to it, it will continue to decline!
Sand traps need repair
Most traps are unplayable, no sand and some times filled with water.
Tough little course
Tight tough but forgiving. More sand in the traps especially holes 2 and 7.
Nice Nine Hole Course
Played Rob Roy many times over the last 10 years. It's a tight course where you'll have to hit it straight. The course itself is usually in very good shape and the staff are friendly.
