Annbriar Golf Course

No complaints, amazing price, great condition, very fun course

Course was in great shape.

Since we had all the snow recently, it was damp in a lot of places. However, it’s still in very good condition. Any shot in the fairway just sits right up. Even the rough was in good shape.

Cart path only because of all the residual moisture, but played well. Greens were in good condition-a little slow, but very receptive.

Overall just a great day out.

We had around 9 inches of rain on November 4-5 and 10 days later the course was way more wet than I would have expected. They had a little rain the night before but balls were plugging in some fairways. The course does not drain well. I played the Missouri Bluffs the day after the 9 inch rain and it was much less wet than Annbriar was today.

Overall, the course is in great shape for November. The $45 senior weekday rate is excellent. The only thing that needed attention is the right side of the #1 fairway, closer to the green. No grass.

They did have newly laid sod in bad areas on the white tees on #1 & #16, which was needed.

The hole location on hole #9 was unfair, just over the ridge. Unfair locations just slow down play. They need to have different colored flags for front, middle & back. Annbriar uses a small flag on the pin to show the location of the hole. You can barely see this. No other course I play does this. Annbriar is an upscale course and they need to get with the program with the different colored flag system.

Issues in the restaurant continue. We were the only people seated at a table and 3 employees were talking behind the bar. We had to go up and ask for menus and get some service. After we got this all fixed, the waitress was terrific.

Annbrair is a great course to play (best in the area) but they still continue to have some issues they need to attend to.

Course was in great shape, especially considering the torrential downpour we had a few days prior.

Loved the layout. Course was in great shape. Fast, undulating greens were a challenge.

Greens, fairways and tee boxes were all in excellent shape.

30 minutes from south St Louis on Illinois side this golf course is nestled in the farmland and wooded area in Waterloo, IL. Worth the drive. Course was in great shape with a good challenge for any level of golfer.

This course was in great shape and we enjoyed or round.

I live in Waterloo but I play everywhere in a 50 mile radius. Ann Briar is for sure the best public course for the money. The sand traps are real and are raked daily to perfection. The rough is a professional rough, tough to hit out of, so don't get in it. The greens are probably the best and truest greens I play. The fairways are like artificial turf they are so nice. They work hard to keep this course in top shape and if I can get a hot deal or a twilight rate, I can afford to play it. Pretty challenging.

Need less to say, the course itself is so beautiful and peaceful. Best public course around.
