About
Annbriar Golf Course in Waterloo is one of the top 10 golf courses in Illinois. The course was built on rolling farmland covered with native wild grasses. The layout eases you into the challenges with a links-style front nine that is less demanding than the back nine. The fairways are invitingly wide but if you miss them, you'll be faced with thick fescue. The back nine takes advantage of the surprisingly undulating terrain, which is unexpected since just across the river the land is almost totally flat. Annbriar's signature hole, the par-4 11th, was voted the best hole in the St. Louis area. From an elevated tee, golfers enjoy a stunning view as they play down into a valley. This hole is also the no. 1 handicap hole on Annbriar Golf Course.

Greens rolled well. Fairways long and slow but in great shape. Rough burned out in many areas. Horrible pace at 4:50.

Beautiful Course
Course is in great condition, however those who paly here should repair their ball marks on the greens so the course remains in top condition.

After 3 Tee Time, Great Value
Excellent value. Would like to see players take more responsibility of repairing their ball marks on the greens and raking traps after a shot. Could tell course was well maintained, but day of play golfers could have been more considerate in keeping course in good shape. Tempatures in the high 90's and beverage cart took our credit card on first hole and we never saw them again. Missed opportunity for sales and service.

Great course
I liked the open fairways and big greens. The layout was also great it felt like each hole was separated from the rest

Played twice this week. Course in great condition. Greens are coming in nicely.
As a lefty who plays a draw, the 11th hold kicks my butt every time. If they can change that hole, that would be great.

The golf course was in excellent shape & it was a beautiful day with great friends. The staff was very friendly & helpful.

Course conditions are excellent for this time of year. Fortunately, the pace of play was very good and the overall experience was exceptional..
Great for early December
Course was in great shape for early December. It was cart path only which was a pain on this particular course how it is laid out. But no big deal. Not busy at all, had the course to myself pretty much. Course is very scenic and has lots of deer and turkey in the area.
One of Top 3 Public Courses in Metro STL
Annbriar ranks right there with MO Bluffs, Gateway,Aberdeen and Pevely Farms! Mid November and the greens, fairways, roughs, and tees were in great shape!(esp. the greens} Excellent beverages and friendly staff. We will definitely be back!Well worth the drive, just don't play it when temps are 33* like we did. You can really enjoy this course when the weather is nicer.

The course is a very fun layout. Plus, even when the course is full, you can never see more then 2 holes at a time. You feel like you have the whole course to yourself.

I have been hearing about this course for the last year and finally made the time to make the trip down there from STL and let me tell you, well worth the drive! The course is challenging but fair and was in great shape, even though the greens were aerated the week prior, they still rolled very true! I love the scenery and some of the holes are absolutely beautiful!
Will definitely make it back there again!

My first time here. One of my favorite courses ever played. It is challenging, fun and beautiful.
Great Layout
Real fun layout where you use all of the clubs in your bag. Site lines, bunker placement, etc. change throughout the course to give you something different on each hole.
