West/South at Arrowhead Golf Club
About
There are 27 holes of championship golf available at Arrowhead Golf Club in Wheaton. The course spans over 220 beautifully wooded acres with not a home in sight. The holes are divided into three nines that can be played in different combinations. Throughout the entire golf course, water comes into play on 17 holes and there are 77 strategically placed bunkers. No matter what course you choose, you'll come across several challenges but they can all accommodate a wide range of skill levels. The West/South combination has several formidable water holes, including the seventh hole on the West, which is nearly an island green, and the South's par-3 fourth hole where you will have to carry a massive lake. In addition to the golf course, Arrowhead boasts a practice facility with a lighted range, putting and chipping greens and bunkers

Very green & lush
Pretty course with trees & some water, particularly on the east nine. Good condition & nice sand. Had not played course in 5 years & they have made great improvements.
3 great 9's - well groomed..little pricy for park dist.
3 great 9's with country club quality maintenance. Kind of pricey ( $79 non resident / cart ) for a park district course.
Really great course and would play it regularly if cost was more in line with other comparable in the area. ( $55-$60 )
Hard to beat
Nicely laid out. Very well maintained. Super friendly staff. Even other golfers are friendly and polite. Hard to beat!
Country Club Look & Feel.
The Wheaton Park District's Arrowhead Golf Course has hit the mark in creating a country club feel at a public course. The option of 3 9-hole courses give you a variety of play while keeping the 18 and 9 hole players content. (They dedicate one of the 9 holes just for those interested in playing a shorter game.)
The course is mature and beautifully set among tall Oak Trees. The fairways are well maintained, there is rough, water comes in to play on each course. The new club house has a great out-door patio, full bar with a nice menu as well as an upscale dinning area.
All this "country club fluff" comes with a price. This course's rates reflect the offering. I have golfed here for years. I like the course and enjoy playing it.....about once-a-year. The fancy new club house came along with staff that tends to be "snooty". For a public course, it is high-end. The deal I booked on GOLF.NOW was very good.
If you are looking to impress a client, want to host an outing with really nice venue for a party or banquet afterwords...Arrowhead is the place. Bring your wallet.
Great course!!
Only issue I had was when we finished I realized I was missing a club and when I mentioned it to the guy cleaning out the carts, since the clubs house was closed, he was of no help!
On a good note, I called the following day and the club was turned in!
Great course
Very well maintained. Creative design makes you think before pulling driver every time. Large greens make it easier to hit but often require shot over water on approach. Greens roll nicely with lots of elevation change but not too much break. Challenging but scorable, really enjoy playing here.
great place to play
greens were good shape and fairways were in good shape as well. I like this course a lot just hard to find it for a good price.
This course was in very good condition even for our area not having rain in awhile.
My first impression was wow look at the staff...they were all over this course to make it the very best it could be for its customers. I haven't seen that attention to detail at a golf course all summer. Good job!
Great Course
Great experience with Arrowhead. Very nice course and very friendly staff. All in all a great experience and can't wait to go back again.
Had a fun time playing the 9 hole South course
Was not too crowded on a Weds. afternoon.
Course was in great shape!
Neat layout and perfect difficulty for beginner to intermediate players.
One of my favorites!
Love playing at Arrowhead. The course conditions are always in great condition. Some holes require an accurate tee shot while others have a very forgiving fairway. Only issue was the group in front of us was playing very slow, thankfully the marshal told them to pick up the pace and they did.
This is a very good course.
Good course, well maintained, Fairways are good, and green are fast
Enjoyed very much. #10 is areal challenge for 14 to 19 hdcp
Only negative is bag drop srea. The rest was very fun.
27 top notch holes
This is a must play course it is in unbelievable shape. Interesting holes have to think before you hit your shot when looking at the GPS and it says your 115 out believe it or come up short. Great course to have fun. What was more interesting then the course was the incredible price we got this course for on golfnow
Great Day
My son and I had a great time. Staff is always great and course was in good condition! Thanks!
Beautiful, but busy
Course is in amazing shape. Booked this deal to play at $44. They have 27 holes here, but starters weren't doing a great job of spreading people out. We were a twosome thrown into the middle of a packed outing. They kept starting everyone on the south course so the front 9 took over 3 hours to get through. The staff was trying to keep things moving and apologized to us, but seems it would've been easier to start us somewhere else. I would love to play again, but I'll probably avoid going Thu-Sun after talking to staff.
Great course condition, Bunkers perfect, Greens well maintained
Great course! Will recommend to anyone. Had 6:15am Tee time. Straw of bad luck as maint. crew was consistently in our range and didn't stop when playing (Driving and Putting) through first 9 holes. Every hole contended with maint crew within 150 yards.
Regardles of bad timing: Great course and recommend to anyone one.
Arrowhead East course 9 holes
The course is in great condition and we like the East course better than the West. You can't drive your golf cart out to your car. You have to leave them in the bag rack and drive your car up. Will go again!
great, challenging course
This was my first time playing here and it was in great condition, challenging, and well worth the price. Once you play a corse like this you realize just how bad some other courses are. If your looking for a great day of challenging golf, this is the place.
