Horrible Conditions / Terrible Carts / Awful Paths / No Pride or Effort / Shameful

This place is okay, not bad. When I was scheduled to play. They over booked back to back which took long play time and made people upset on their tee time. A course that should only take around 2 hours to play took 4 hours to play. Was not happy with the back to back booked. I was being push by some player and this was upsetting.

We played at 630 am after the rain storm.

The conditions were great. The greens were nice and even the tee boxes were okay. The starter was unhappy to see us. Thought he might have the day off.

Owner called the day before to see if we would play. Yes we did and had a great time!

Since I can remember 1976 when I moved to Cresta Verde it's been a difficult and long course to play, some days obviously better than others but I've literally played this course so much it's unbelievable and I still find myself going back. It's tough and it's challenging I would recommend it to anyone

Several holes lacked grass in the fairways and had rubber mats. Very rocky in places and some areas seemed to be under construction

Worst fairways ever, greens nice. The overall course has some serious maintenance issues. Cartpath on 13 leaving the tee box is dangerous, slopes downhill instead of away, any standing water combined with a skid could be catastrophic! We probably won't come back for awhile!

What can you say except it’s Cresta Verde. It has very unique challenges and small greens but that’s the way the old courses were made. This course is nearly 100 years old and opened in 1926. It’s not a modern wide open forgiving course. So bring your patience. The greens where all green and we’ll taken care of and other than a few fairway sections that where under repair it is quit nice. I have seen this Course in poor shape in the past and had not played it in years. I was happy to see it coming back in shape. Wile playing this corse I can’t help but think of all the Hollywood legends that have played it like Lucille Ball Desi Arnaz just to name a few and what it looked like when they did. The bunkers have filled in with grass but you can still see them. I would happily pay more to see this corse brought back to its former glory and the bunkers to be filled back in with some nice sand. For $30 it’s a fun corse steeped in history. There are not many of these old course is still around. If you live in the Corona area it’s a must play corse.

The best thing about the course are the greens, tee boxes and fairways are pretty pathetic. And the carts are in serious need of new seats and tuneups.

Course is getting bad, they seem to be letting it go.

Tee boxes are like hitting from a bunker, lot of sand and dirt. Cart paths are in horrible shape, big cracks, stumps growing under them. Fairways are getting patchy with dirt and squirrels. My cart began to lurch and shakes violently after the 6th home, our buddies cart rear tire went flat after 4 hole and they had to swap it out.

Getting as bad as Greenriver, won’t be coming back here.
