Great as usual!!
The condition of the course in mid April is what you would expect in June. Fairways plush, greens quick and true. With this past Winter quite a tribute to all the crew. Always a good the at the Highlands.
Public Course, Private Feel
For the value, this course can't be beat! The course is always very well maintained. The staff couldn't be more welcoming and friendly. If you haven't tried this course, I highly recommend you give it a try... you won't be disappointed.
Royal Hylands works harder than most to keep there course in great shape!
Always a special course a variety of golf holes from wooded to British Open feel.
Worth the short drive from Indianapolis
The course is beautiful with some elevation change on a few of the holes. The course is a fair challenge with a good mix of holes and styles. Some holes wooded and others more of an open links style. The greens are some of the best around. Well worth the drive from Indianapolis if you've never played it before. I will be playing it more often as it's easily a top 10 in the area.
The coarse is extremely well maintianed
The staff here are super friendly for starters. The coarse itself is extremely well maintained in all areas. The practice green is a good size and the driving range area is well maintained. The carts are in excellent condition and they are electric which is a BIG plus for me. I have only golfed this coarse a couple of times this year and each time has been a great experience. Looking forward to playing several more rounds here in the future.
Awesome course!
Played this course a few times. The course is really fun to play, but experience is key. Most shots require prior knowledge to be precise and therefore can be troubling for newcomers, but elevation changes (Hallelujah for central IN!) cause for excitement. Great shape as usual. Great course.
Very Windy Day-2club wind
Greens great shape, fairways great as well, staff always glad to see you and thank you for you coming out, even this day with 2:00 tee time and 5 cars in lot
Fast, undulated greens. Well-maintined fairways in a country setting.
Very challenging course for me with fast, undulated greens and well-maintained fairways. Mostly a secluded setting with a few houses visible on only three of the eighteen holes. Lost a few golf golf balls in the late October leaves on the ground in the rough but the fairways and greens were clean. Will definitely return.
Never Better Conditions
I play here 2 few times per year, Max & Brad are always glad to see there players and make them feel welcome. The course could not have been in better condition. This is a great track & Inside Indianapolis this would be a $80 Golf Course. Do yourself a favor drive 40 Minutes East of Indy & be amazed at this place.

Beautiful
The Royal Hylands was immaculate. Tough drive from cincinnati but entirely worth it. The fairways, greens, rough, everything, simply beautiful. Staff was great. Will come back when I feel like making the trip again.
Challenging for the low handicapper, yet still fun for the rest of us.
Very nice to arrive and be greeted by a friendly staff and then tee it up on well maintained tees. Land it in the fairway and you have a chance of attacking the pin on some extremely challenging and undulating greens. Picturesque course on gently rolling hills with well established tree lined fairways.
Top of the line course
From tee to green one of the top golf courses in the state in my opinion.
Nice course
Royal Hylands has always been one of my favorite courses in central Indiana. Since we've had a great season for grass growing (moderate temperatures, good rainfall, etc.) all of the courses have been in great shape. The only drawback to the course this weekend is that the sandtraps need some attention.
WOW
Fun course maintained well. Great value!!! Some tricky holes that require local knowledge, but what a hidden jewel.
nice course well maintained fast greens a little firm.
nice combination of trees, doglegs, ponds, streams, heather, good green pace, hills, nice fairways and tees for everyone. Two club wind made course difficult for me. Green were hard for me to read maybe due to hills around. A little bit of a drive for me but would like to play again this year before leaves fall.
This was one of the nicest courses I have played.
I was truly impressed with the course layout and conditions. We had a 2;00 Sunday tee time and a group jumped in front of us, could have used a started but after the 2nd hole there was not much waiting. The greens were real challenging and hole 10 destroyed my round. Would love to play it again this year, will be checking golf now for another great price.
Always love playing!
We had a group of 8, 2 foursomes and they worked us right in. Pace was under 4 hrs, course in great shape
Great course in the Indiana farm land
This is one of the best courses in the area. The course offers a tough test of your game and the holes range from tight, tree-lined fairways to blind "open" holes that require some local knowledge to set up the best approach shots to the greens. You will not need your driver off some of the tees - ball placement is key. The greens are very well maintained, true, and quick.
The only negative comment I have is play was a bit slow. The two foursomes in front of us were very slow.
But, this is a real jewel of a course. Bring your A-game if you want to score well.
Great fairways some quirky holes.
Nice course with real nice bent grass fairways. The greens were a little beat up but we were following an outing so I'm sure that had something to do with it. There are some quirky holes that if you haven't played them before can really be confusing. Some with large elevation changes and others that appear to the eye from the tee to dogleg but don't. Overall a pretty interesting course.
