Cousre in very good shape - plush green
Only downside was course was very wet....had to keep carts on path.
Not their fault....but ALWAYS take away from golf when carts have to stay on paths.
Course is in great shape and staff great too
the course is in great shape and has matured into one of the best courses I have played this year, even better than TPC Sawgrass
Beautiful Course, beautiful layout!
Teeing off as a twosome, my partner and I were joined on the fifth hole by one of GolfNow's representatives and his brother! I thoroughly enjoyed the company of the young men, but played an miserable round. While my partner and the rep from GN had a much easier time with the wet and hardened sand traps, the rep's brother and I simply failed to make a worthwhile shot.
We found a several soggy areas on the course and were puzzled as to the reasons they existed. The fairways were neat and trim but the rough was a bit long (at least 6") for my liking and and made errant (out of the fairway) shots very difficult to find.
I once possessed a handicap that would have made my round much more enjoyable, and must admit that this course simply kicked my butt! I know now that I definitely need lessons on wet bunkers, more accurate iron shots, and chipping.
I believe that playing this course from the gold tees will be a daunting task for anyone with a handicap of more than 15.
The rep's brother summed up the course best, when he said that the course is very fair to anyone with accuracy, while punishing errant shot makers without being completely unfair... that is of course, IF you can handle wet bunkers!
If the rough were cut back to 4" and the sand traps had been dry, the course would easily rate the full five stars.
Great experience
The course was in very good condition. The bunkers were wet and packed. The greens had recently been fertilized or something. There were small granules all over the greens that effected putting.
beautiful course; fair course for women
I'm a fast player, so it played slow as there were a couple of foursomes holding up most of the course. But we did get in 18 holes in 4 1/2 hours. Beautiful course, fair for women.
as nice of course as anyone will want to play
This course is in great shape as it always is. We had a lot of rain the day before and course drained really well. Nice fun course with some nice views.
Absolutely Great! Makes me want to move there... I felt like I was playing at a PGA major without the crowd... Super fast but smooth rolling greens...
Absolutely Great! Makes me want to move there... I felt like I was playing at a PGA major without the crowd... Super fast but smooth rolling greens... If you can keep the ball in the fairway off the tee and have a good short game, you can attack... The rough will force you to layup or take chances you shouldn't take, so use and trust your short game... The greens are perfect... Very fast, very smooth, will hold shots and will let you score if you attack... I live in Arlington, TX and was in the area on business... I am already planning a golf trip back here with my golf buddies... This is a MUST PLAY COURSE!
Fun course in great shape
Drove in from Ohio to meet some friends for a golf weekend. Played here the first day in the afternoon and really enjoyed the course. Pace of play was quick and we did not have to wait on any holes, even on a Saturday afternoon. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Course is in great shape for late summer and greens are great. Can't complain!
Greens in great shape
Tee to green the course was in great shape, the greens are a little slower than expected, but overall this course is one of the top public courses in the area. The pace of play was slow at times, but not a deal breaker.
Covered bridge
Fairways in good shape. Greens were double cut and rolled the day we played. Still we're not very fast. Had a large time
Great course except for the creek
This is a great course to play - the layout is very nice, especially with #9 and #18 coming up on opposite sides of the same pond towards the clubhouse and sharing an extended green. My only complaint was that on most of the front 9 and a couple holes on the back, the smell from the creek was excruciatingly bad, to the point where I had to back away from a couple shots to take a breath. That said, the course is worth the price for the round - however, if you have to choose between the two Fuzzy courses in the area, go with Champions Pointe.
Stay in the Fairway.
Very nice course and very well maintained. Greens were pristine, rolled very true, but were not very fast. The rough was very tough and can cost you a stroke.
A Jewel
Really a joy to play. I liked it well enough to replay the day I played. Zoysia fairways; greens rolled true.
This isn't the hardest course you'll ever play, but its a fair test.
Can't wait to play again.
Nice course but
This course was in great condition. It is not difficult except from the very back tees. We were nearly the only people on the course probably because it is way to expensive for what it offers. The older gentleman loading bags was great however the young men running the pro shop were more interested in talking to each other than waiting on us or anyone else. I would go back only if the prices were lowered through the week.
A Must Play
Always enjoy going to Fuzzy's Place... Champions Pointe and Covered Bridge... are in Great shape and Fun to Play..
Ya really need to "GO PLAY"
Player friendly course
Fuzzy's is always in great shape. The staff is always correous and attentive. The course is player friendly. Challenging, but doesn't beat you up. The view after you finish and hang out on the 19th hole is amazing.
course conditioning was nearly immaculate.
I rated course as easy primarily because it is fairly flat and hole lengths were very similar in relation to their par. I play short old man tees so could probably be tougher from back. Course is almost always well conditioned !
Challanging but Fun
We were excited to play what had been recommended as one of the best courses in the area. The course provides challenges for all skill levels. Keep your ball in the fairway and you're in great shape for scoring. If you hit it in the rough, the ball just seems to disappear. I used every club in the bag during my round.
My one disappointment with my visit is that the fairways had been aerated. That was not listed anywhere on the Golf Now site or mentioned at the course. I felt that the fairways in this condition should have warranted a reduced green fee or at least warning during the booking process. Maybe you would want to ask about course conditions when booking.
I will be back to play the course under regular conditions. Under regular conditions, I would recommend the course as a must play in the area. Once the fairways are in the same condition as the greens and other parts of the course, this will become one of my favorites I am sure.
