Valley of the Moon Golf Club

There are a lot of water hazards on this course but unfortunately the refreshment cart never came around for entire 18 holes so we were feeling pretty parched.

Great layout, greens were super slow but otherwise in great shape. I'm guessing they are protecting against the heat we've been experiencing.

Course is in good shape and pace of play was good.

Course in go9d shape. Huge bargain $22 with cart at 1:20pm Wednesday on perfect golfing weather day.

The front nine had some damage earlier in the year, I do not know the circumstances, but the front 9 wasn't as nice as the back nine. It was still average, the back nine was good. We walked and like the holes and layoiut. The driving range was OK, I would prefer to see more targets and markers. Putting green OK.

The course needs mowing in several places. The greens are in good shape. Fairways are in fair condition.

The Course was different. Greens were long and bumpy, some had fungus. First cut around greens were long. I heard they changed Head Grounds Keeper, and it shows. The New Guy needs to do some work !

I’m new to the game and this course is not easy.

Greens are terrible. Some were mowed some were clearly neglected. Gas and oil streaks lining fairways. A lot going on around the facility just no attention to course once so ever. But good thing is you can get a round in about 2.5 hours with a 4some.

The. Purse was a challenge for me in a good way, as a beginner. I had a ball.

The greens are horrible with two types of grass creating a bumpy, inconsistent roll. I normally like this course, but this is the worst it has been. The rough still has not been mowed to an appropriate length and searching slows the pace of play.

Fairways were good shape, greens were punched about a week or so ago. Rolling slow. Played as a single in just over 3 hours afternoon. A couple groups let me play thru. For the price, probably best deal in Sonoma county. Nice layout. Number 5, pat 3, from blues probably the toughest hole on course. 200+ yards, Crowned green all around.

This is a full moon review. A wonderful golf course and a challenge for a golf hacker like me. But what a great time and very nice people playing in front, behind and with us today. Try it, you like it! They need to open the bar and food services but otherwise near perfection.

Other than the greens were a bit sandy and the rough was pretty long, the course was in very good condition .

I was told two versions: they had two broken mowers, & they didn't have enough staff to do the mowing.

either way the first cut was over 9 inches high and the fairways were unable to roll at all the grass badly needed mowing. it was recently aerated which I don't mind; we had to play the same nine twice. when my ball rolled into the first cut it disappeared into 9 inch high grass never to be found again!

There is no restaurant open. The rough is really high and is near impossible to hit out of. I do like the clubhouse remodel.
