About
Ocean City Golf Club offers two championship courses: Newport Bay and Seaside. Opened in 1959, the Seaside Course is the club's original layout and since opening it has remained an Eastern shore favorite. It has a more traditional design than the other course, which underwent a renovation and rebuild. Seaside offers classic greens tightly lined with bunkers that are balanced with wide-open, player-friendly fairways. It is a challenging but playable test that is popular amongst locals. Five sets of tees make it even more approachable. The views of the marshes and bay, as well as the trees, give the course the feel of one in the Carolinas. In addition to the two courses, Ocean City Golf Club also offers a driving range and putting green before teeing off.

Wide open
Great course for the average golfer. Wide open but with at least a few challenges. The greens actually slope a bit! Great staff and great pricing. Pace of play is good as most players are average or over.
Not esthetically pleasing golf course
Pace of play was slow and the back nine was even slower due to cart path only. Because it was called seaside, I thought we would see some water but we did not see any. It was a very plain course unlike others that have a lot of natural environmental beauty to them. I would not play there again.
Cart path only
The course closed the back nine for no apparent reason and never let us know when we made the tee time. I am recovering from major back surgery and have just started playing again. It was very difficult and if they had let us know we would have played somewhere else.
Played with an injury. Wasnt informed until we teed off that the back nine was cart path only. So we didnt play the back nine. Waste of money. Would not have booked at the course if they would let is know that because of new grass they were not letting you drive carts on the course.
Liked the course layout. Speed of play was good.
Front nine holes were nicely groomed.
Wasn't happy with the back 9 holes.
Several of the holes had very large dirt patches!
I payed $80.00 for a round and felt I didn't get my moneys worth.
Switch
This review is for the Newport course. I signed up for the seaside, but from what I can tell, that is an inferior course. Anyway upon arrival they moved my time to play with another group on the Newport and I am glad they did. Make sure they do that for you too if possible. Great condition, traps were still wet, but no big deal. Great views, placement of shot important (played from blues). Ranger a bit pushy but friendly. Rate is fair. Would play again.
Good time
Seeing how it was week of the 4th of July and it was crowded as expected. But yet all went well and smoothly great staff and course was in very good condition seeing how it was the middle of summer and have been getting hit with a hot heat wave for the last week plus.
Ocean City Golf Club:Seaside Course
I found this course to be in the best condition of the local courses I've played in a long time. Fairways, greens were very nice. Highly recommend, at least for the weekend golfer.
Great views and excellent conditions
Course was in great shape. Really enjoyed the layout. Was challenging and forgiving in the right places. Looking forward to playing tge other course there Newport Bay.

Group behind us was a little slow.
Marshall asked us to pick up the pace for some reason. - that was a little strange since we were way ahead of next group and playing ready golf. It bothered one of our players.
Frequent visits by refreshment cart.
Course was in good shape.
Overall a great day.
Will not play again
Complete dog track… course was horrible and course marshall was rude to us.
Course Unplayable
I had never played here before. We had received a ton of rain. I was surprised the course open. The starter informed me it was cart path only, which I expected considering the amount of rain we had. I played 9 holes and quit. The course was unplayable. You couldn’t take relief from casual water because there was no relief. Balls disappeared in the fairway plugged below the surface. I guess they’ll do anything for money.
