About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Not friendly to non members.
Overbooked. Started late, told to wait for those in front of us to be for the green before teeing off. Then the ranger comes to us at hole 9 to say he was told the players behind us complaining we are too slow! At that point we had been playing for under 2 hours! Given the option to “skip a hole or two, or pick up the pace.” Made for a stressful and non enjoyable experience. Felt from the beginning as if only friendly to regulars/members and not tourists. Will never play there again.
Great golf course
Fairways and greens in perfect condition. Challenging course with some very difficult par 3’s as well as the doglegs. Definitely you get your money’s worth!
Definitely will play it again !
Very good conditions, interesting variety of holes thru the woods. Challenging layout but enjoyable.
Fun course
Fun course, need to be accurate off the tee. You’ll use just about every club in your bag.
Long and slow road
Course was crowded with no Marshall’s moving the slow groups along greens were pitiful slow price was expensive bad choice by myself
Great great course as always...took a first timer with me and we had a blast...will be back soon !!!
Good round - one to play in OC
The course was in excellent condition, best I've seen since I've been going to River Run. It's a staple of OC, even in the pandemic to get a good round at a decent price.
Expensive- Not Informed Only 9 Holes Would Be Open
After paying a high fee of 40 dollars to play this course and finding out that only 9 holes were open today was extremely disappointing. There was not advertisements saying that the course wouldn’t be available. Extremely disappointed in the course for not supplying that info when booking.
Great golf in January
Played River Run today in beautiful January weather. Course in great shape considering time of the year. Pro-shop welcoming. Highly recommend playing if your in the Delmarva area.
It was a cold rainy day
My father and I were the only one on the whole course. We enjoyed the course and will play there again when it is not raining.

Could not have asked for a better experience with great company on a beautiful day! Course was in beautiful condition and very clean of fall debris (leaves & needles). Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Pace of play was excellent as we hardly saw another golfer.
