River Run Golf Course

Layout is average but the fairways and greens are excellent. Be careful, if it’s cart path only, it’s a seven hour round behind the “golf trip” golfers. No Ranger or food cart person to help ease the pain. Also, $8 hot dogs and $13 burger at the shack at the turn! Pack snacks and eat elsewhere after. Clubhouse staff were great!

Course was in great condition, from tee boxes to fairways to greens. We had the course to ourselves, except for the ubiquitous lawnmowers. Had to wait for them to clear on several holes, and the constant noise subtracted about from an otherwise great experience.

I’ve played this course a good amount and have always liked it. However this time the fairways were in very patchy shape. Greens were good. Glad I used the Hot Deal to not pay the full price

My son and I had a great time golfing at River Run. The course was in good shape and the pace of play was good! It was a perfect day to golf!

Quite a few fairway ruts and divots, but a nice course overall. What made it great, was the people. Accommodating to a golfer with some medical concerns (avowed 90 degree when feasible).

Haven’t played here in a couple of years and unfortunately I was very disappointed this time. This used to be a quality golf course.

I don’t know what happened here but the course is obviously neglected.

It was startling how poor the conditions were.

Every tee box was in poor condition.

Mostly dead grass and bare ground.

There was maybe 1 fairway, the 11th I think, that was in good condition. All the rest had large areas of bare ground and dead/decaying grass.

Every bunker contained packed wet sand.

Many contained water and algae.

The greens were good however. Looks like some attention was given to them.

Another thing that was different were the greens fees.

They went up since I last played here.

It’s really a shame what happened to this golf course.

I definitely would not recommend playing here.

Fun layout, rough fairway and tee box conditions. Greens were very nice. Staff was great. Very narrow.

The Hot Deal price was better than the locals rate. Aerated greens and tee boxes are annoying, but necessary. My concern is the fairways…They’re in terrible shape. My advice, spend up and play a better course or spend down and hit a course more inland that’s in better shape.

We played the course two years ago. It was in good condition. This week the fairways were in poor condition. Some of the fairways were without any grass. The tee boxes were all sandy.

The tee boxes did not have yardage markers and some of the tees were obviously moved.

There are too many courses in the Ocean City area to play with these poor conditions again.

We will not be going back there.

Course recommended by a friend who had played earlier this year.. We played together and he was taken aback as the course condition was nothing what it was like earlier in the year. Non existent practice facility. Construction everywhere. Greens layered with sand. Fairways spotty. Tee Boxes in horrible shape -Mostly sand..staff was very rude!

For $105 it would be nice if the pro shop gave us a heads up with regard to course conditions ahead of time. I probably would not have wasted the money. Overall terrible experience. Will never go back there again.
