About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Decent course layout with some holes requiring accuracy off the tee. Greens were all in good shape but slow. Pace of play was little over five hours - waited on every hole. Staff was friendly but facilities were sub par.
Interesting and tough course design by Gary Player
The course was in good condition with fast greens and long rough. A good test for all the clubs in your bag.

Course is in great condition. Staff were fantastic. Restaurant is under new management and everything was fabulous.

Was Good
This course used to a pleasant place to golf. Now it is a mess. Don’t think I will be back no matter how much it costs.
Overall Nice Experience
My wife and I played in the mid afternoon, and dealt with high heat and humidity. Good news is we had the course to ourselves. But having played here before, the pace of play has never been a problem. The course was generally in good shape with several problematic fairways improved since the spring. Greens were on the slower side, imo. My only complaint is that the course needs to put some money into fixing their cart paths. They are very rough in many areas.
River Run round & dinner
Everything was perfect although the weather could have been a little cooler. Dinner at the clubhouse restaurant was excellent also.

Very fun round and the course was in great condition.

Well over 5 hours to play course! There was a marshall but he could not get the slow players moving.
This slow is not acceptable to me.
What a great course!
We had a great time playing a two man scramble with 8 guys! Would and will continue going to River Run! Staff is outstanding!
Great value
Course was slightly above average condition for this time of year. Hot no rain weather does beat up a course like this.
Layout was challenging but fair with rewards for good shoots and penalties for poor shots.
Greens were in great condition - some fairways needed work.
Don't go for the range
Driving range uses flight reduced balls, essentially nurf golf balls.
Content
Course is in great shape Greens we're consistent not too fast or slow Fairways were perfect. The only gripe I have is there is no hole layout posted at the tee boxes or on the score card. and there is a few holes with water that is hard to see when taking your second shot. especially if it's your first time playing the course other than that very happy with the course conditions. and will definitely play again when I return to oc
Bagels
Love this course, play here every trip we make to Ocean City but really wish they would address the Bunkers. To call them Sand Traps would be a lie.
