About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Very Hot day ,
It was a very Hot day, had a good day in spite of the weather. The only draw back would be the expense of drinks and Hot Dogs! $25 for 3 hotdogs, SCAM!
Rough shape
Course was in rough shape. We played this course in February and it was in much better shape. I guess the summer play has been tough on this course.
Interesting layout
Very good conditions from Tees to greens. Some tough holes especially if you have never played this course. Very reasonable rates in the afternoon. .
Average
Decent course layout with some holes requiring accuracy off the tee. Greens were all in good shape but slow. Pace of play was little over five hours - waited on every hole. Staff was friendly but facilities were sub par.

The course was in good condition with fast greens and long rough. A good test for all the clubs in your bag.
River Run FUN !
Course is in great condition. Staff were fantastic. Restaurant is under new management and everything was fabulous.

Course was in very good shape. Good service and very accommodating. Layout was challenging but fair.

This course used to a pleasant place to golf. Now it is a mess. Don’t think I will be back no matter how much it costs.
Overall Nice Experience
My wife and I played in the mid afternoon, and dealt with high heat and humidity. Good news is we had the course to ourselves. But having played here before, the pace of play has never been a problem. The course was generally in good shape with several problematic fairways improved since the spring. Greens were on the slower side, imo. My only complaint is that the course needs to put some money into fixing their cart paths. They are very rough in many areas.
River Run round & dinner
Everything was perfect although the weather could have been a little cooler. Dinner at the clubhouse restaurant was excellent also.
