About
River Run Golf Club in Ocean City is just minutes away from the beach. The golf course has different front and back nines that make for an interesting round. This Gary Player design starts out across a wide-open landscape before moving on to more tree-lined terrain on the backside. The tighter back nine is tougher than the first nine but overall it's an approachable golf course. The player-friendly layout is gentle enough for beginners with medium-sized greens that aren't especially difficult and generous fairways that offer plenty of room. There is modest bunkering along the greens and fairways and a few lakes and some marshland come into play as well. While River Run Golf Club may not be the most formidable test, the course provides just enough of a challenge for scratch golfers.

Great time
Very fun round and the course was in great condition.
Nice course, very slow.
Well over 5 hours to play course! There was a marshall but he could not get the slow players moving.
This slow is not acceptable to me.
What a great course!
We had a great time playing a two man scramble with 8 guys! Would and will continue going to River Run! Staff is outstanding!
Great value
Course was slightly above average condition for this time of year. Hot no rain weather does beat up a course like this.
Layout was challenging but fair with rewards for good shoots and penalties for poor shots.
Greens were in great condition - some fairways needed work.
Don't go for the range
Driving range uses flight reduced balls, essentially nurf golf balls.
Content
Course is in great shape Greens we're consistent not too fast or slow Fairways were perfect. The only gripe I have is there is no hole layout posted at the tee boxes or on the score card. and there is a few holes with water that is hard to see when taking your second shot. especially if it's your first time playing the course other than that very happy with the course conditions. and will definitely play again when I return to oc
Bagels
Love this course, play here every trip we make to Ocean City but really wish they would address the Bunkers. To call them Sand Traps would be a lie.
Love the River
After hearing some negative reviews from other golfers, my buddy and I were not expecting what we saw. The course was in great shape with fairways lush and greens that ran true and not exceedingly fast. We were able to get out earlier and a foursome waved us through. "Sharkee" in the Pro Shop was a blast to talk to and the Starter kept an eye on the course pace of play. We will certainly be back. The only down side, was all the construction near the course.
Wasn't worth the $99 they were asking for a round of golf. They were sanding the greens.
Bulldozed
How does a golf community bulldoze their range for more condos. Can you imagine how little they care about your home value and even less so - your golf member experience. Nice people at the course but boring layout and no range means it was a one and done for me. Too bad because the greens are actually very good right now.
Not worth the Prices
When walking into the club house I was greeted by a super friendly person which was nice. When paying $130 for a round of golf (premium price for around here) I’m wanting to hit actual range balls and not foam balls that tell you nothing. I understand they said their range is under construction but the price doesn’t account for that. The course was in sub par conditions as it’s more a fault of the customers as multiple divot holes not filled in the fairways, and not fixing ball marks on the greens. Lastly our round of golf took 6.5hours as pace of play was a joke. All in all, foam balls, crater fields, and waiting forever to tee off is not worth $130 and will not be back as I can play two rounds at most other courses and have more fun.
Very cool course
Good layout, was in good shape, some bunkers un playable but just rained the other day. Would play here again, good value if you get a deal.
Pretty Good Course
We played in late March so in fairness it was far from peak conditions. Greens were sandy. Sand traps were below average. Housing was being built feverishly around the course the day we played and looks like it will take up every square inch. Course was OK but I was expecting a little more.
