Overall a great course
This is one of the best courses that I have ever played. I would play this course again and again, the price to play 18 is worth every dollar. Not only is it an awesome course to play, it also has a lot of beauty as you go hole from hole.
A challenging course with no sand traps!
I enjoyed playing this course for the first time. Despite having no sand traps as challenges, this course has lots of water to avoid. A good value for the money.
Great course for the money
I have played this course for years and this is the best shape I have see it in. They have let the rough grow up in lots of areas tighting up the course and making it more difficult. All 18 holes are open and this is a great value for the money.
Cheap muni golf
Course is a little rough. New 9 holes just opened to make it 18...they probably should have waited as the greens are not ready. Some very confusing holes and a few that could possibly be dangerous because of placement of holes to fairways and tees to fairways/holes, but I guess this is a by product of trying to squeeze new holes in. Course could use Bermuda or zoysia fairways, the fescue/rye/bg mix is already crispy and sparse in some spots and we have had plenty of rain. I can't imagine what they will look like in the heat of the summer. Also hole #1 is a long (200yd+) par 3...bad design in my opinion, worst type of hole you can start a course with.
Now, with all that said, there are a handful of interesting holes, and if you are playing well one could probably shoot a pretty good score. With all of it's flaws it will have it's fans I'm sure, and heck, at the price I paid to play it I will play it again. It's just not a great course so if you do play it don't expect a whole lot.
Good course to play if you have limited time.
Fairly short course (6200 yds from tips). Several fairways have a bit of side slope to challenge your shots. Attractive rolling hills. Water comes into play on a few holes. I don't recall any bunkers on the course. My only complaint is that the grass in the fairway was a bit high. I had to hunt for my ball in the fairway more than once. It has been a wet month, so maybe it's not an issue during the summer. I plan to play it again some time.
You can tell that the owners are trying to make this course a little jewell.
The course is short but looks great. The greens run smooth and are faster than they appear.
Some interesting holes.
Course was in pretty good shape although the rough was a little high, which slowed play. Good course for the money. Would play again.
Fun Course
This is a neat course to play, especially if you aren't the greatest golfer. Relatively short length-wise, but the rolling terrain keeps you on your toes. Water comes in to play on several holes. Greens were in great shape. The Par 3's are fun, and the staff is as friendly as can be. A scratch golfer could score super-low on this course, but what makes it great is that a hacker like me can shave off a few strokes. I'll definitely play this course again, soon!
