Disappointing
Had not played since last summer when there was no clubhouse or restaurant. Checkin was great and employees were helpful and friendly. Found that it was cart path only even though there has been no rain for at least a week. Fairways and greens were in great condition although greens were very slow. It was over 90 degrees but we did not see the beverage cart until the 9th hole - very disappointing.
Would not recommend.

Although cart path-only status is most frequently associated with rain, there are other reasons that come into play. In this case, we had had just seen 5 days with close to 1000 players. Because of this, as well as the extended period of hot, dry weather we've had, the course just needed a break from carts for a little bit.
We do run our beverage cart daily in season from about 9:30-10am until 6pm, so that could explain why you didn't see it until the 9th hole, depending on when you played. We are sorry that we didn't meet your expectations and hope you'll give us another try. If there's any other assistance we can provide, please let us know. Thank you!

The course did not have my round booked in their system but I still got charged a booking fee of $2.49 by Golfnow. Staff said they would advise Golfnow regarding this.

I booked tee time thru golfnow. When I checked in the course had no record of my booking. Golfnow still charged me a booking fee which should be refunded.

Flags and pin hole locations were not even in the ground. They were covered with a foam insert. This course was in terrible condition compared to other courses in the area. Was shocked
Thank you for sharing your feedback. You happened to play on a day when our maintenance crew was aerating the greens, which is why the course looked so much different than usual. We hope you'll come back and play on a more typical day! Our new clubhouse is also scheduled to open by May 1, so we have lots of exciting things in store for our guests this year. Ocean Pines Golf Course
Original great design however many trees and needs updating. Positively a more difficult course now. If your handicap is over 20 do yourself a favor and play the forward tees. With my 18 handicap we used the member tees but did not concern ourselves with scoring.

We do offer several sets of tees so that people can choose the distance most comfortable for them and have a fun, successful round. We did have a few holes that were stressed from a particularly hot and dry spell and have been operating out of a temporary building while our new clubhouse is being built, but the course is recovering and clubhouse construction is underway. We hope you'll visit us again once the dust has settled, and that you'll let us know if there were any particular problems you encountered during your visit.

Overall, giving this course a one star rating is over doing it. conditions of the course were horrible to say the least. We have played courses for $30.00 w/cart that put this course to shame. They are adding a new club house, they should be putting the money to improving the condition of the course.

We did have some spots on the course that were impacted by an extremely hot and dry spell this summer, but our maintenance crew has been working hard to address the issues, most of which we feel have now been resolved. We are well on our way back to the excellent course conditions players have come to expect from Ocean Pines Golf Club. The new clubhouse is slated to be completed this spring, so we're excited to be able offer facilities that will complement our Robert Trent Jones-designed course. Disappointed
Crabgrass on tees and fringes of greens. Brown patches on some greens ,which wouldn’t be so bad, but they put the holes right in the middle. Great layout, but course conditions were not good. If you have a choice I would play somewhere else.

Save your money
Course in less than fair condition. Fairways and greens have not recovered from the hot summer. Not worth the money paid. Will not play again till possibly next spring.

Lots of Potential, But
Club House\Pro Shop is a trailer. It says, “Coming Soon: New Cluhouse,” but there is NO construction activity going on at all. (They have razed the old one.). Driving Range Closed. Cart Path Only.
Had to prompt the starter to give us a cart. He loaded my bag.....my wife loaded her own. (I was on the practice green.) I agree that there should be consequences for missing the fairway, but the roughe has been allowed to grow so high that searching for balls just a little off line really slowed down play. LOTS of dead spots in the fairways and on the greens, but the crabgrass was healthy and prolific. I like the layout and there are many beautiful holes, but I think if Robert Trent Jones saw the condition it is in, he would be horrified . (GRHS)

The demolition of our old clubhouse happened ahead of schedule, so although construction is still set to begin this month, there wasn't much action at the site over the summer. We're still anticipating a completion date of spring 2020. The driving range is generally open, although we do close it one morning a week for mowing, which might be when you played. We faced some extremely hot and dry weather this summer, but are looking forward to getting back to our regular course conditions. What you experienced during your visit is definitely not typical for us, so we hope you'll give us another try sometime soon. Thanks again.

We are currently in the process of building a new clubhouse and cart barn and are recovering from some heat stress on some some of the holes, but are looking forward to a great fall season on the Eastern Shore!
My Review
I am an inexperienced golfer, but it was a decent and challenging course. The only complaint I would have is that the grass in the rough was long making it difficult to find my ball. Shame on me for not keeping it on the fairway, right? Lol. Still good experience regardless.

Going down hill
The pro shop is demolished and they are working out of trailers. The portable toilets at start were over flowing. Not enough water on course and crab grass near green. This course used to be good but is headed in the wrong direction.

While we are very exciting about having a brand-new clubhouse in spring 2020, it has meant that our golf operations have moved temporarily to a trailer. While we do have portable toilets at the start, our regular on-course bathrooms are still available and operational.
