Ocean Pines Golf Club

Tee boxes were pretty much all dirt. Fairways rutted and greens in bad condition.

I’ve played Ocean Pines 2-3 times on vacation in Ocean City, and it’s a challenging tree-lined course with an excellent mix of holes. Keeping the ball in play should be a priority. On this occasion, I played in a steady rain that made the course play extremely long, so shorter hitters and players newer to the game should keep the length and tight layout in mind if selecting this course.

Fairways are pretty tight so you need to keep shots centered. Most of the greens are pretty slow which is probably due to lack of rain In the area otherwise they’d dry up.

Have to hit it pretty straight as the course is intentionally tight. Greens were pretty slow, probably so the grass doesn’t burn up. Fun course!

Overall upkeep of course not good. Greens as slow as I’ve ever played

This was a very nice course with some wear and tear on some of the fairways. The greens were slower than I’m used to so it took some holes to get adjusted. Other than lots of trees, the course was very playable.

Had to play cart path only because of previous nights rain but still enjoyed ourselves we will be back!

I think this course is probably a 4 star but the drought has taken a toll. Greens were good but not super smooth. The fairways were 10% totally browned out, the rough is brown. Looks like they don’t have the irrigation to keep up with nature. I played another course in this area same week and it was still very green, apparently they have better water supply
