I can’t say enough good things about Hawthorne!

I’m a 24 handicapper playing regularly for less than 2 years about 2 games a month. As a beginner I look for affordable opportunities to play and strengthen my game.

I drove 1 hour to play this course and was hesitant based off of reviews.

The course was great and I will be back.

Greens and fairways need work tees confusing at times cart path needs repaving

This course is not one I would recommend to anyone. I wouldn't even suggest it as a place to give brand new golfers an inaugural experience. It's just in horrible shape from tees to greens. The fairways are filled with crabgrass. Finding a decent surface to hit shots was extremely challenging. The rough areas were truly rough and the greens had zero smooth areas. The balls never held any line....I'm still shaking my head that this course is called a country club. It's worse than any municipal course I've ever played.

This is an older but very well-maintained private country club next to the golf course is a swimming pool and tennis courts we played on a weekday late morning and we had the whole golf course to our self which was incredible while only a nine hole course each hole has two flags on it set a respectable distance apart one for the front nine and the other for the back nine. There is very good hills and curves that make this a very good course to play for all skill levels. Except for a few holes the fairways are quite wide and the grounds crew has done a good job keeping the grass growing and the weeds and brush at bay. The Yamaha gas golf carts are in very good condition and more comfortable than some of the public course carts we have used in recent weeks. Considering the fact that this is a private membership club being able to play on it attitude the uniqueness of our experience

The greenes are in terrible condition. The worst I have played on.

All the greens were almost unplayable. A lot of bare spots and lots of crab grass. If you happen to get off the fairway, you were in tall, wet crabgrass. The course needs a lot of work. It used to be a nice course but no more.
