About
Nestled in the foothills of the Catoctin Mountains about 15 minutes from Fredricksburg, Glade Valley Golf Club has been selected as a top-100 golf course in the Mid-Atlantic region by Washington Golf Monthly. The Jim Reck design, which opened in 1990, has a nice mix of woods, water, natural habitat and sand traps that will test golfers, but the golf course isn't overly difficult.

Where was the Marshall?
In the late afternoon when you are trying to get 9 holes done it is unfair to let players in front of you play 2 ball on every hole. I ask him not to play 2 balls on every hole and he told me to F_ _K Off. I could not find a Marshall.

Course was in perfect shape
The course was in great shape. Fairways was perfect, putting green was playing at a good speed.

Great course for the value
Most tees were in good shape, fairways and greens were in great shape. Green contours were challenging.

Great day for golf
Today was a great day for golf. The weather was great. The course was in good shape.
Great Course
Every thing was a beautiful green fairways were cut and manicured roughs were thick but trimmed nice. It is always a pleasure to play this course from the Friendly Staff inside & outside, the golfers you meet and the food & drinks they sell . GOD BLESS to all

Decent Course, has some teeth, needs some TLC
First time playing here. I give some lenience with the crazy world we live in. The course would be very good when fully maintained. The fairways were really hairy - they needed to be mowed. The greens had a lot of surprising breaks - I did not putt well at all. There were at least 2 tee boxes that were clearly designed before trees grew out. They need to trim some trees around those 2 tees. The pace of play today (1:00 PM tee time) was pretty slow (4;45). Not a bad course. Rough around the edges but it has potential. Pretty good value for the price.

The last hole, which is wide open, gives you a chance to make up a bad round.

Agree mike! Hahaha we submitted a similar review. But we missed saying that there were parts of the fairway that were unevenly mowed (slightly lower than the rough but definitely had higher grass than the normal fairway.) - john
