About
Squirrel Run Golf Club offers some of the most scenic golf on the South Shore of Boston. The course is an executive layout that is gentle enough for beginners and even juniors to tackle with confidence. There are no par 5s on the golf course, most of the holes are under 140 yards. Even though you may not need distance, a strong short game will take you far on this course. Rough borders the fairways and there are a few strategically placed bunkers framing the greensides. Squirrel Run Golf Club is a very forgiving golf course overall and it may not be the most formidable test but there are a few tricky holes, like the par-3 13th. This is the golf course's signature hole that plays from an elevated tee over water to a green that slopes from back to front, and if that wasn't enough, the entire hole is at the mercy of the prevailing winds.

We had a great time playing 18 with a cart. Never caught up to anyone on the course, great pace of play. Course is in great condition Excellent deal for the money.
Great executive layout
Have played here several times over the past few years when visiting in the summer. Conditions are very good for a course of this size and layout. A great place to work on your short game.
Good greens
18 hole executive course , great greens , awesome to play at a place that there greens are good,,,short course with great greens what more could you want ?

Great Par 3 course with 3 par 4’s on front 9. Great way to tune up your Par 3 game. Great value, great layout
Great Round at a new place
We typically play another similar type (Executive) course in the Plymouth/Wareham area, but we wanted to try something new and came across Squirrel Run on Golfnow.
The pace of play was surprisingly quick (a brief wait on 1 hole of the 9 we played) for a holiday weekend round, considering how these types of courses are known to attract the “casual” golfers. The tee boxes to greens were in fantastic shape with the greens running on the quick side.
The layout allowed for some risk/reward even with the majority of holes being Par 3’s. Some had water, others had sand traps near the front of the greens and some greens had some decent hills & slope making it delicate if you mishit a chip or putt.
We will definitely play here again
Great course
It’s always a pleasure playing this course, being a hacker, it allows me to attempt improving my game, regardless of type of club I use. Course always in terrific shape and friendly staff. My only concern is slow type of play, recognizing signs advise golfers to keep up on pace of play, perhaps staff could remind slower golfers to allow other players to advance.

The course was in good shape, sand traps need some work.
Early in the season
Greens were ok for the time of year. Could have been rolled a bit bumpy. Lots of sticks and debris in fairway. Just needs a good spring clean up. Also could use a bit of loam and grass seed on the patchy areas. All and all for a small course it was ok for the time of year.
The Squirrel was almost perfect
Course was dry. Greens were well kept. Noon time start and not many on the course Only issue was water fountains were not turned on Wondering if last years leaks were not fixed
