Stonehedge South Course at Gull Lake View Golf Club and Resort
About
Gull Lake View Golf Club & Resort is the oldest and largest golf resort in southwest Michigan. It offers five championship courses that draw visitors from throughout the Midwest, Great Lakes, and Canada. Located in Michigan's scenic lake region, all of the courses have a beautiful landscape with scenic views. The Stonehedge South Course is the third out of the five golf courses. Charles Scott, a well known name in the area, designed the course in 1988. The layout plays through rolling, wooded countryside that offers interesting elevation changes throughout. The golf course has a classic layout that calls for a variety of different shots. The greens are quick and gently sloped. Pinpointing a single signature hole is difficult since each one has a unique character and offers a different challenge.

beautiful course, pace of play slow, great condition
a lovely course, well maintained, with lots of elevation changes. this course is challenging, but not punishing. you can make an errant shot and still recover. the greens were very smooth, although a little hard to read. the course is cut through rolling wooded terrain which resembles many northern michigan courses. this was my first time at this course and I will definitely play it again. I think anyone playing here will enjoy the experience, but be prepared to pay unless you use golfnow.com.
Golf Perfection
This is our favorite "Scott Family" course. It is manicured to perfection from tee to green. The entire course is not only beautiful, but its cozy. Snuggled perfectly into the woods, you feel comfortable while you're playing the entire round. The views are great on every hole. The 5 tee settngs make it challenging, yet fun, for every level of golf ability. In addition to good food and beverage, the staff will go out of their way to make sure your visit is as "professional" as possible. Me and all my friends give this course a 5 star, First Class rating, and will play here alot.
great course.. very picturesque.
excellent deal, wonderful greens. Like the undulations
Awsome Place
I have been wanting to play this place since I talked to a rep at the golf show about 5 years ago. I now live in Holland and had a couple of friends come over from St. Johns to play on Wednesday the 10th. We had a great time at the South course, what a challenge. Beautiful mature trees and very well taken care of fairways and greens. I take a golf trip every year with my friends and this will be a definite possibility for our next trip. I was impressed and want to come back and play the rest of the courses at Gull Lake.
Great Course!
This is one of Mid-Michigans best course by far. A must play.
Like playing at a private club
exceptional maintenance level. Everything pristine. Lots of elevation changes. Has the feel of a park like country club layout with mature tree lined fairways. A true joy.
majestic
The Course Is WEll Maintained And The Views Are Spectacular. What A Pleasant Course To Play. It Does Demand Accurate Tee Shots.
stonehedge
Played the South course the trees have matured nicely and the course was immaculate. Highly recommend.
It is a great course
Loved the course this is the third time I have played it and I like the elevation changes and that no two holes are the same, each was different and challenged your abilities and to get it for such a low price from Golf Now made it even better.
unfortunate experience
Extremely slow play, I quit after 11 holes.
assigned to play with 2 superseniors (over 70) male/female.
original 3 some that I signed up to play with wanted to play by themselves.
the greens were poor- did not roll smooth ( too bouncy)
grassy areas to long-difficult to find our balls.
I will not return
Love this golf course
One of my top two favorites. Cut right out of the woods and well maintained. You can take a picture of any hole and use it for a commercial I will be back soon. Thanx for the great day!
This is a great couse - All part of the Gull Lake View group.
This is just another star in the Gull Lake View group. The only down side is because of the wet spring make sure to bring lots of mosquito repellant...They have been vicious....But the course is absolutely awesome.
The five Scott family courses are all great places to play, the staff are all very friendly
Very nice layout, beautiful setting and challenging course.
Beautiful Fall golf at Stonehedge
Stonehedge is a resort course that is a little more expensive to play in high season but with the price I paid at Golf Now it was darn right cheap to play.
Very nice well kept conditions considering that the leaves falling made you think it was snowing. The grounds crew was on top of it and blowing leaves as fast as they could. Fairways were well conditioned and the greens were true also. Many greens had been aerated but that's just a part of late season golf here in Michigan.
Gorgeous, well conditioned course that is worth the trip anytime.
Stonehedge South lives up to the standards set by the Scott Family.
Did a great job trying to keep up with the leaves. If you have trouble with your driver like I do you will like this course. Fairways are tight and mostly lined with trees but not as long, so you can reach easily using a 3 wood or less on some holes. Very generous sized greens protected well by bunkers.
Nice Course
Beautiful, natural setting. Nice electric carts, friendly snack bar staff and pro shop. Would be a great color destination during fall foliage peak.
