Grandview review
This course was in great condition and you can tell that they are working hard to improve it. The only real turn off was the $12 hotdog.
Rolling Terrain Hidden Gem
First time here this summer. Its in great shape. Workers were fine tuning the course here and there and were courteous and helpful. Nice fairway cut a little taller than most courses, but I prefer that. Tough greens. I will keep coming back.
Great value; great views
Really affordable and an interesting layout. Plenty of elevation changes makes the course challenging, but none of them feel unfair. It has a par 3 on the back nine that has one of the best views of any course in northern Michigan. It’s not an immaculate course, but for the price, it always makes for an entertaining round.
Nice
Nice track at a fair price with many scenic elevation changes. Iam on a month long trip in Northern MI playing twice a week and these were the best greens I have played. Fast and deceiving but in great shape. This course would challenge any handicap golfer; if you are looking for a confidence booster this would not be it. Our group had a 6, 12 and two ladies and none shot our handicap. enjoy
A penalty for late tee times!
We teed off at 4:08, and usually enjoy this course very much, but were disappointed to be dodging sprinklers on the 18th fairway, and found the bar/kitchen closed when we finished, around 7:00.
Very nice course
Course is in great shape and the greens are fast and smooth
PACE: One of the first off the tee box, and I never caught up to anyone or had anyone behind me.
CONDITIONS: Tees were a bit scruffy. Fairways had burnt out spots in some locations. Bunkers and greens were okay.
STAFF: Got me checked in. I asked for a receipt for my round and the gentleman said "oh, it's early I totally forgot." Then he walked away to do something else, never getting me my receipt. Thought this interaction was funny... not necessarily upset by it.
VALUE: At this price point, other courses in the area include GPS in their carts and range balls. Grandview does not provide either. I believe at its current rates, based on amenities and course conditions, this course is overpriced.
LAYOUT: Holes 1 thru 3 are a beautiful start to a round. Hole 12 (par 3) is great too. At time the course feels quite tight with the trees and overgrowth on each side. Maybe trim back some overgrowth for a little "elbow room."
I believe that this is an awesome place to play a round of golf .. I am never disappointed when I play here … grandview is the course that I take my downstate players to !!
Slow... i mean crazy slow
Tee'd off 10:32. Made the turn at 1:45. That is 3 hours for nine holes... ranger had the partying group change to scramble. It didnt help. At 4.5 hours we were waiting to tee off on 15. Gave up. The group in front of us was just partying on the course. Went in to clubhouse after the "round". Was told we needed to learn patience and to have nice life. WOW. GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. Then talked about us to other customers... I will never go back.
A lovely day on the course
This is a great course! No wonder it was so crowded. But no problem.. All those men let me play through. It helped me miss the torrential rains. The greens were perfect. The fairways still under repair. The carts have club-washers, which is very helpful. Port-a-potties are located strategically. i like that fact that the holes are not far from each other, in case you'd like to walk the course.
Beautiful greens, lovely fairways
Grandview offers the golfer excellent facilities, friendly staff, and a positive golf experience. The carts have club cleaners at the side to keep your clubs clean. The greens were in tip-top shape. Some fairways had sections under repair. I'm not that great a golfer so I lost a few balls along the way. The weather was overcast, but I escaped the rain. The course was not too busy, so the waits were short.
