Twin Birch Golf Club

About
The beautiful setting of Twin Birch Golf Club in Kalkaska features stands of red pine and birch trees lining the fairways and the Boardman River, which winds its way all throughout the course. The golf course is mostly flat with the exception of a few raised greens on the back nine. The greens on the front nine are level with open fronts, inviting players to attach the flags. There are ample landing zones along the tree-lined fairways, making Twin Birch a golf course that will appeal to beginners and high handicappers but there are still challenges in store for the more advanced golfers as well. Some of the doglegs holes can be quite tricky. There are also several strategically placed bunkers lurking along some of the greensides and water comes into play on eight holes.

Great course!
Other than some irrigation construction, the course was great! They definitely need a cart girl/guy to sell drinks and snacks throughout the course though.
Excellent condition, beautiful foliage, Jared great manager!
Played Timberwolf a couple years ago and Grandview a couple months ago so now we have played all of Kalkaska’s course’s. Jared welcomed us by name after having booked on TeeOff which was nice. The clubhouse is still under construction There we’re several workers on the course and they were going to close after the weekend. The greens were fantastic and smoothest and best roll of the year.( although we had a few leaves to dodge here and there) the fairways and tees were excellent also.. Wife was stopping to snap pics of the foliage every hole it seemed.
Flat compared to Grandview but fair with little or no blind shots. Great value at $42 for both of us 10/21/22 . Would play again
Out camping, wanted to golf
Clubhouse was under construction, but they had out houses and a little office. The gal was very friendly. Course was in decent condition, I would play here again.
Diamond in the rough
We stopped to get a little warm-up round in on our way up north never thought it was gonna be that nice easy off the highway we only played the back nine and we definitely want to get back to play the front well taken care of very friendly they are rebuilding the clubhouse but I think they’re doing a really good job dealing with it Course plays really nice I highly recommend it well worth the money
Awesome Thank you !
The only reason I gave the amenities a 3 star because your under construction. But it looks like it’s going to be a 5 eventually.
Figuring out exactly where to go/park is a little confusing if you don’t knowwhere your going but we figured it out.
Over all tho this course is Amazing!
Wonderful Day
I'm still new to the golf scene, but have golfed more in the past two months than I have the rest of my life. I've golfed Twin Birch several times now, and have always had a great time. The front 9 are all well maintained and mildly challenging, with the back 9 in pristine condition with the more challenging holes.
Twin Birch will always be my home course. Looking forward to the new clubhouse being finished!
Spectacular
I play this course periodically. It's always in good shape, but this was the BEST I'd ever seen it. Fairways and greens in tiptop shape. What a pleasant experience!! You always see the workers busy maintaining it. The gentleman at the course is always so welcoming and gracious. I also finally found the portapotties on the course. It's going to be even better when construction on the clubhouse is finished. I highly recommend it.
Still loving this course!
Please read my previous reviews. I drive over 60 miles round trip to play this course. Does that tell you something?
Hello, We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We would love to know how we can earn those last two stars next time! Thanks for playing Twin Birch Golf Club.
