Eldorado

A nice track, conveniently located off of US-131. Good course layout and condition. El Dorado automobile theme with vintage 50’s Eldorado in clubhouse $ automobile tee-marker names. If it has rained recently, it will likely be cart-path only. Greens are challenging but not lightning fast. Fairways were a bit spongy - not mowed ‘tight’ when there. 1 size bucket of balls (lrg - $15) for practice tee. Would definitely go back for another loop.

Ps - lotsa confusion on carts in/not in the parking lot - might be based on if you’re a regular or unknown. Be prepared for cart staff to approach quickly for that ‘rushed feeling’ in the lot. If you need to prepare your equipment and articles or put your shoes on, pull off somewhere before arrival.

Played 7/2/23, got a buddy of mine convinced to try golf he won’t ever play again.

I’ll do cons first I suppose and I hate writing bad things especially when the staff was so nice

- extremely over watered very spongy fairways

- driving range hit into hole one so look out

-pace of play was 6:45 minutes to complete 18

- ppl in carts behind us shot into us several times even with ranger out until we confronted them.

-every hole you’re hitting your second and ppl are teeing off right toward you it was a very frustrating day as far as that goes

-truthfully they should of ask ppl who wanted to leave and give them a nine hole voucher

Pros

-Very big fairways/greens

-clean well kept

-truth is if I was to do it all over I have fantastic golf around home so I come up to golf even better and the courses at home blow it out of the water if you’re up on vacation and want to relax and shoot a round unfortunately I’d say pass definitely during the holiday

Staff was out standing. Don't see that every where. Cource was in extreme condition. Greens were perfect. Can't wait till back in this area again. We play on Golf week amitour an we see alot of courses and this is on the top of the list.

Beautiful large greens and perfect fairways! Staff was professional and helpful. Brought a golf cart to our car and picked it up when we were done. Hotdogs at the turn were enormous, hot and wonderful. Love playing here several times a summer.

Beautiful course. Layout rewards good tee shots and the greens were excellent speed. Find a hot deal and enjoy.

The course has a nice variety of holes and numerous tee boxes to find a fit for your game. The bridges over the wetlands are rotting and will create a safety/playability issue in the future if not addressed...

Early season here was good and dry. The greens were a little matted with small aeration holes, but played very good for very early season

Im the scheduler for a group of senior that use to play there several times a season. We're from the Grand Rapids area. I was also the president of furniture city golf club for 8 years we had over 80 members and we'd hold our 2 day club championship at your course, each fall for 7 years. My group is older now and most are on fixed incomes. We still enjoy playing your course, but short of a special deal like recently including Eldorado in our Manistee National golf package you've pretty much priced my group out of consideration for your course.

As usual, this course is veery challenging so if you are not hitting your best, then it will be very hard to score well. If you play from the fairway, it is still very challenging but you can score some birdies and pars!

We played from the Chrome tees which put the course about 6100 yards according to the card but quite a few holes measured farther than card states.

First time playing and course very well maintained and fun to play. Great value for the money.

Excellent golf course. Greens were huge. Condition of the the course was excellent. We were behind an outing so pace of play was quite slow. Would definitely play again
