Golden Hawk Golf Club
About
Golden Hawk Golf Club is an 18-hole course in Casco Township, which is just south of Richmond. You won't find too many elevation changes throughout the course but you will encounter plenty of water. There are also 36 bunkers coming into play on 12 holes. The course isn't particularly long at 6,117 yards from the back tees, but the par 4s offers some good length and the ample room off the fairways gives the course a spacious feel. The fairways are generous and quite forgiving, but golfers will face tough approaches to the greens, which are often nestled into the woods or bordered by ponds. The slightly elevated, undulating putting surfaces require accuracy. Golden Hawk Golf Club is a fair test but it's player friendly enough for high handicappers to approach with confidence.

Good coarse
Overal it was in great shape just need to cut the greens more often each some were fast and then some were slow just be more consistent
Great value coarse
Very nice round for the money
My thoughts!
Course was in great shape and the greens were a good speed.
roe's view
THE COURSE WAS IN GOOD SHAPE. THE GREENS WERE 75% RECOVERED FROM A RECENT AERATION BUT DECENT.
Favorite course for the money.
I love this course! It has amazing scenery for only being 30 minutes out of the city. In my opinion, it's the closest to up north golf without going up north. I have no trouble recommending this course for beginners or pros, fun and beautiful.
good Conditions
Pretty nice course. Not overly long at 6300 from the blues. Most holes are under 400 yds but require placement off the tee. Not much room to spray.
Not very good
could not go to club house on turn because of wedding. Took 2:1/2 hours to ply front nine no rangers on course to speed up groups looking for balls after every hit ! Quit playing on the 11 th hole ( playing solo) they would not let me play thru so I had to wait & wait & wait & then wait some more !
Very Nice course
Golden Hawk is in my regular "rotation" and we play here multiple times during the year. The course condition overall is above average. Although some bunkers tend to fill with water and need work. One other thing is the blind tee shot on #10, if you are not familiar with the course then you might not be aware that water can come into play if you hit left.
They were putting up new stone/granite tee box signs when I was there last. This will be a great update.
Overall a challenging but fair course to play. Especially when you get a deal through GofNow.com
friendly staff
very nice place to play. the general manager Joe went out of his way to make sure I was going to be a happy customer
good course
expensive but really nice course not for a beginner golfer very friendly staff very clean little older resort but good course
Good Course/Slow Golfers
My only real complaint about the visit to Golden Hawk was the pace of play. We got stuck behind a foursome of "older people" (retirees) who essentially held us up on every shot for 16 holes. They weren't playing "ready Golf" and were just not that good. Not wanting to be rude we patiently waited all round for them to allow us to play through as we were a twosome. However that never happened which was very frustrating. If I had to guess I would say they were members who didn't give a care about others on the course, who they were holding up all day. There were two other twosomes behind us that were held up most of the day as well.
I would try course again, but if I ran into the same problem, that would be it.
PLAY BLUE TEES
Do not let the first hole scare you with its length. Play from the blues or it will take the driver out of your hands on a handful of holes.
Nice course, staff iffy!
The course was in awesome shape. Fairways were perfect for this time of year, (expected drier, but perfect was the case).
However, the staff almost did not accept my prepaid green fees because he said there is no way I should have gotten such a good rate, (fire special from GolfNow). He made me wait and kept griping until there was a line up of people behind me. He then said he would take up with the source.
Good course
Attempted to charge more than was advertised on TeeTime.com. Played as a twosome and was paired with another 2. Not a problem.
Play was slow, but it WAS a Sunday.
Enjoyable course.
Great Hidden Gem in St Clair County
This is avery nice facility with well cut fairways and well manicured greens. The only knock I have against the course is the fairways were a little beat up with lots of divots. It's a challenging layout with tight fairways and water hazards on many of the front nine holes. I would gladly play this course again.
Very nice course
first time at this course. Started out with no one showing up to open the pro shop so the starter sent me out and asked me to stop by after the front 9 to pay. Course is very player friendly and in great shape. It is still a challenge though. I noticed a extremely high number of last golfers but might have just been the day of the week. A must play course. I can't wait till I can get out there again.
Very Fair Test - Scorable
Second time playing Golden Hawk. Really enjoy the course. Great condition tee to green. Rough in not too punitive. Greens roll wel. Good putters can do very well on the greens. Every hole gives you a chance for a good score. No "gimmicky" holes on the course. Definitely on my list of courses to play again.
Good course
My first time playing this course. It was very nice. Very woodsy, made me feel like i was up north vs other courses in the area. I would play here again for sure.
golden hawk
loved it. well maintained. greens roll true. beautiful course. great layout. definitely want to go back again! fantastic course.
Among the Best Courses Locally of this type.
Excellent price on a GolfNow Hot Deal. Fairways immaculate. Greens in great shape. Sand traps still need some work to recover from the wetness.
I love the different "character" that each hole presents.
