Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

Disappointed
Arrived 50 minutes early and promptly paid for our tee time and yet we were still harassed by the starter multiple times that we were late. We started on time and the real disappointment came on the course as the state of the fairway, rough, greens, and tee boxes was abysmal. Years ago I remember the course being in much better condition which made it frustrating to see its current state. Grounds crew were present but were also rude and one chose to drive up to our tee box as someone from our party was in their back swing and yelled at us that carts must be returned by 7:30. It was 5pm when we got this announcement and we were on hole 12 so it seemed unnecessary and added to our collective frustration on the day. The price has also skyrocketed which sealed the deal on a disappointing golf outing as it is hard for me to justify paying substantially more to play here than in past years but receive poor service and poorer grounds management
Golf course not up to par
Why I do understand you’re doing work on irrigation. I can overlook that, but I can’t overlook the fact that the course is burnt out patches of mud everywhere and the greens are not even in good shape. This used to be a top-notch course.
Love this layout
Atlantis is a gem. It is a great layout, and from the white tees, it's not that easy. Unfortunately, the heat a few weeks ago has caused the conditions to be rough.
Nice course
The course is nice a lot of trees but the fairways were wide enough I stayed in Atlantic City and the drive is 40 minutes but worth it
Fun tough course
Was a good deal with golf pass deal. Around $108, was worth it. Was in good shape only thing was some of the tee boxes were a bit chewed up. Greens were firm and quick. Sand was nice!
Great Improvements
I have been playing this course about fifteen years. Last year and especially this year I notice major improvement in courtesy of employees, monitoring pace of play, provision of a new, clean bathroom after seventh hole. Overall the staff truly makes the difference!
Can't beat the price for a very good course
I'm a local, so I get a county rate, but for the money, you can't find a better course around the area. 4 holes with water, makes for challenges and two on the Par 3's.
A recent drought caused a few dry patches, but in general, the fairways and greens are well kept. (Just wish people replaced their divots and ball marks, and rake the traps! some well-placed trees for a few of the ladies Tees. But a fun course to play. the irrigation system is being upgrades, but doesn't affect play. Staff is always great, and the onsite restaurant can't be beat with Culinary Arts Students in training. Great staff there, as well (Cuisine on the Green). we go often when NOT golfing...friendly vibe. Local courses (LBI National and Ocean Acres are pretty pricey)
Excellent
Great place, excellent conditions, staff is awesome!
Could be better
Need rangers to address the slow players.
Rough is thick and to high. Making it hard to find and then hit your ball. If the rough were a couple inches lower the pace of play should improve some.
