Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis
About
The Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis is an 18-hole, public course located in Little Egg Harbor. George Fazio designed the challenging course, which has a yardage of 6,848 at the longest tees with a par of 72. The course also features tree-lined fairways and greens of bent grass and water hazards that come into play on some holes.
Ocean County Golf Course at Atlantis has a particularly tricky 6th hole since there is a pond in the middle of the fairway that you must get past in order to reach the green. The golf course used to be private so it features all the amenities that a private club would have such as a restaurant and pro shop.

We had two groups in front of us who played very slow. Both went in for lunch or only played 9 we didn't see any golfer on the back. 3:30 hour front 1:30 back long day. Does anyone fix their ball marks anymore??? Probably the same people that throw trash out their windows on the parkway.
Friday afternoon at Atlantis
The course was in much better shape than in the past. Greens and fairways were very good, tee boxes cold use some work. My partners were very cordial it was a lovely afternoon. Its too bad that Ocean County doesn't have more County courses.
Great layout
First time playing here. Was surprised how well the overall appearance of the course was . Greens are a bit slow but otherwise in great condition. A challenging layout with some nice wildlife about.
Atlantis - County Course with challenges
Greens are now exceptional for a county course. Fairways are well kept and rough is quite rough!
Elevation and slope are challenging for the weekend golfer.
Some minor over-hanging branches by fairway, but it adds to the shot difficulty.
Pace was reasonable and not rushed.
Slower players failed to let faster players play through.
Greens slow but, for a county course it is in good shape
Bad and getting worse
Been here a number of times when I come to the shore. It was always rough but now is just plain bad. Mosquitos are horrendous and there are 5 large ground hornet nests over the course. Fairways are shabby, rough is terrible, Greens are slow and bumpy. It's cheap but spend a few more bucks and go anywhere else.
I won't be playing here again!
The course is in terrible condition and our foursome all just wanted the round to be over - it was just not enjoyable. I'd pay the extra money and play Sea Oaks.
This couse had a nice layout
We were impressed by the course....nice pkg. the lunch selections were very good..........
Atlantis needs work
I have played Atlantis a few times. The course is a decent place to go hit a few shots and work on your game. It is not in pristine shape by any standard. The course needs a lot of work to bring it up to "average" playing conditions.
Well worth a visit
Played there July 24th in the afternoon at 2pm. Well worth it and good value. Friendly staff and a great selection of beers in the bar for afterwards.
Decent Pace for a Muni
This course has a great layout.. better than average muni conditions. The value is great.. Closest course to our house so we will keep coming back.
fun course but very slow round
I really wanted to give this course a great review because we had a lot of fun, but the pace of play was pretty awful. The 2 guys that we were paired with quit after 13 bc they had to get home, and we ended up up quitting after 15 bc there were 2 foursomes waiting on the 16th tee which was a long par 3. We were already 4 and a half hours into our round and figured it would be 6+ hours if we played the final 3 holes. It was still a pretty good experience bc they course was challenging and in really good condition. The starter did tell us before our round that the course was extremely crowded, so maybe the pace of play is usually better. We will definitely give the course another try in the future.
Fun course but very slow round
I wanted to give this course a great review bc I thought the layout and conditions were very good, but the pace of play was pretty awful. We actually quit after the 15th hole because there were 2 foursomes waiting on the long par 3 16th that hadn't even tee'd off yet and we were already 4 and a half hours into our round. I think we would have been looking at 6+ hours if we played the final 3 holes which is just no fun. I will definitely give the course another try bc it was challenging, fun and in very good condition.
