About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Very slow pace
Disappointed with pace of play. Apparently there was a tournament and the course was overbooked! Round was over 5 hours and no ranger to be found
Quality county track
Quail Brook is the perfect parkland muni. Played from the back tees it’s a solid challenge, gentle hills and doglegs make for a classic layout. The landing areas are fairly generous but off target shots are penalized by a combination of fescue and trees and sand. Look out for hidden hazards, and putting the ball in proper position to approach greens is key.
Speaking of the greens, fantastic for s course that receives a significant amount of traffic.
Quail Brook is solid all the way around, well maintained, picturesque, a classic parkland track with just enough going on to make you earn your pars.

First time playing this course. Was the day after a bad thunderstorm. Many puddles and still mostly wet. However the entire course was extremely payable and the greens were consistent. I really like this course. Wide and forgiving, great course if you’re wiring in your game.

Playing after many years of absences. Course is in great shape and layout is fun. Green wasnt fast yet need rendering on putts. Definitely going back and bringing friend along.
Nice Round
Greens were in perfect shape, round went fast for a Sunday little over 4 hours. Always like to go to Quail Brook!
