About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Good golf experience
Excellent practice facility. Greens in tremendous shape especially given that it’s early spring . Fast deceptive greens . Course layout is traditional woodland without being boring. It boasts a variety of holes, but doesn’t get too cute . The tips are a challenge even for a single digit handicapper, high handicappers will get plenty to deal with from the whites. An above average track in above average condition.

Considering time of year course is in great shape. Highly recommend.
Good value
Even though this round was a hot deal, I have played this course many times before for under $60.00 even during peak times. The course has been around for a while so it does show its age in some respects but in my option, the greens are the best of any course I play one NJ. Fairways and tees are also well maintained. Bunkers could use some help.
