Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Visually, one of the nicest courses I've played. Very challenging. The staff was very friendly and the course condition was excellent.
Great course with value
Well maintained course with good n friendly customer service
Too much walking uphill, challenging course
Very difficult for beginners. Required accurate shots otherwise you lose the ball. Too much walking uphill. Holes 15-18 required too much walking b
Quail Brook great Muni
Course conditions were excellent for tournament the next weekend.
Greens were true and rolled fast, even though it rained heavily the night before.
Tee boxes and fairways also in great shape,.
Quail Brook Opinion
I am a Middlesex County resident and no longer play on their golf courses. I have joined Somerset County as an Out of County Resident and play 90% of the time on their five (5) golf courses. They are wonderful courses, extremely friendly staff and almost always in great condition (you can’t find better greens on a public course).
Quail Brook
Very nice layout of the course with elevation changes.
Tee boxes, fairways and greens were in great shape .
Greens were undulating, rolled true ( greens will be even better in a week as there was recent aeration.
Good but...
It was a perfect weather day and the course was in good shape overall. However, the greens were shaggy and slow which was disappointing. It's almost as if they didn't cut them fora few days. I've played this course a bunch of times before and this was the slowest I've ever seen the greens. Usually they are pretty quick, which is what I prefer.
This is still a very nice public golf course that's good for every kind of player. Challenging enough yet score-able for better players and very fair for higher handicappers.
Well maintained
We had a 2:50 tee time. Got there early and hit a buckets of balls on their driving range. We teed off around 2;45. The course is in great shape the tee boxes to the green is well maintained. The speed of play was good a 4:15 round on a beautiful Saturday. We will play this Course again. The price was excellent through Golf Now’s Hot Deals. We would recommend this course to alll of our friends.
Nice layout. Great condition
Only gripe is way to many walkers which caused my twosome to play over a 5 hour round.
