Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Fantastic round
the course is in great condition and always makes play interesting because of the variety of hole layouts. The starter prudently allowed us to go out early as a twosome, and we were able to finish in 3 hours. I could not ask for more.
GOOD TEST OF GOLF
i always enjoy playing Quail Brook. The first time i played the course from the blues (6000 yds) because i was playing with friends. Usually i play from the Gold (6600 yds) and love the course from the gold. so much harder with the 600 yard difference. if you hit the ball consistently over 240 yds play the gold tees and enjoy a really solid course.
Played course 10 years ago
The course was in great shape and a nice layout. Will play this course more, really enjoyed the day!
Slooooow
Started at 2.20. Finished at 7.30. Way too long for a round of golf.
Slow play ahead of us. Need rangers to keep players to a good pace.
Always Fun
Quail Brook is always a good time. It's a quality layout that tests all parts of your game.
The conditions were average as it's still fairly early in the season. Despite all the rain we've had, the course did play fairly firm. Greens were a little slower than usual, but not bad at all.
Great alternative in Somerset County for those who don't want to pay Neshanic's prices.
Poor pace of play
Had a tee time for 5:10 and due to league play didn’t get out until 5:40.
Good Maintained..
Good Maintained New pavement on path way & side, all glass is exlant on this time a year...
One of the nicest public golf courses I’ve played layout is awesome greens are great
Good Conditions...
...for this time of year. Greens were a little bumpy.
I don't understand why they aerate in late fall and it takes all winter and then some, to get back to normal
Great Deal, Solid Conditions!
I was able to book a weekday Hot Deal, and we got more than we could have ever asked for at such a great rate. After a really bad couple days of intense rain, the course drained extremely well (some standing water in a few traps, but most were fine). Not an overly challenging course, but enough character to keep it interesting. I will definitely head back!
2nd Favorite course in Somerset Cty, NJ
Wonderful course to play. Always in great condition. Fairways, tees and Green always in good shape. Fun course to play. Fairways are large and fair. Nice layout. If you play the par 3"sl & par 5"s well you will score great!
Nice course!
We had the whole course to ourselves but that may be because it was footbal Sunday ! Hard to tell pace of play when half the people were home watching games on a fall day in October.
Course was in great condition. Greens were quick but in great shape. Back 9 was interesting. Will definitely play here again
Good course
Good course for hot deal price. Regular we got paired with got a hole in one which was cool.
