Quail Brook Golf Course
About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

This course will give you enough challenge regardless of your handicap.
Nicely maintained county course, greens looks easy but challenging especially outside 10 feet. Likes to play this course during weekdays. Weekends can be very crowded with slow play.
Quail Brook 9/16
The course is in great condition. All fairways, traps, and greens are in excellent condition. The challenge with this course are the greens which are fast and uneven. Now that I've played the course once I cant wait to come back and play it again!
Awesome day of golf...
This was my first time playing Quail Brook and I cant wait to play there again... course is in great shape... from tee to green and even the bunkers. Then again I play Staten island course all the time, so to me Quail Brook is like a PGA course... lol
Course layout is a lot of fun and challenging.. i played mid week, pace of play was a total of three hrs..
Diamond in the Rough
Course conditions spectacular, from tee to green, on every hole. They have done an awesome job!!!!
Well designed and maintained
Quail Brook is a well designed and maintained course. The staff has done a very nice job this year considering the extremely dry conditions.
good condition
green and fairway are very good
Excellent Golf Track
Quail Brook is in excellent shape. The fairways are cut well and the greens rolled really good.
Quail Brook
One of my favorite local county courses. Can't beat it for the money. Was lucky enough too, to play on an afternoon when nobody else was out there. Finished the round in under 3 hours.
Nice course. Would play again.
Played in the rain Wednesday afternoon. Course in very good shape. Not sure how fast round would have been on a clear weekday afternoon?
Great value for money
Very well maintained course with good layout! Was a bit packed when u went there early afternoon. None the less a great place to play!
Good shape
Course is in good shape, greens were nice, could have been a bit quicker but with all the rain in May, understandable. Golf now makes this course a great bargain.
I would play again
I would play on this course again and of course I will recommend to my friends. Thanks to GolfNow for the hot deal.
Quail brook
This was a great surprise to me , I drove an hr 10 mins . I saw course on golf now , rate was 15 bucks, best deal I have had on golf now to this point, course has great layout
Not real long , but then you can always play the tips! Even the shorter holes present a challenge with the size of greens and undulations , greens roll very nice , not super fast but with certain pin placements which we had very tricky putts, all in all I will drive the hr 10 mins many more times! Only thing I didn't like was 6 bucks for like 30 balls at the range!
Another round at Quailbrook
Course was in decent shape for this time of year with unpredictable weather.conditions. Started out in mid 50's . By the time we got to the third hole the temperature must have dropped 25 degrees. Never seen weather change that quickly. Just played a silly round where we could take extra shots if we didn't like the 1st one. Besides freezing to death it was a fun 9 holes. Greens were unusually fast for a county course but I think the greens are still rock hard from the colder weather.
Good value for the money
The greens were in fantastic shape, fairways as well.
The county need to upgrade the refreshment stand!
Didn't get to finish
Wasn't spring yet 3/11/16, came from work to play didn't realize how critical the dress code is at this course even for winter golf. Was told the leave after teeing off at the first hole by the golf pro (manager). No rain check no refund just leave now attitude. It's winter golf! Nice course played here a lot last season definitely not thinking about going back.
First Round of the Year
A cool breezy day, course was in good condition. It was easy to get out as ther were not many playing which helped pace of play. The greens were exceptional for this time of year.
Average course with top notch Greens.
Challenging and fun green with lots of undulation. Teebox and Fairway is average with no surprises. Layout is stress free fun. Best part of the course is the Greens. Love it. Booked thru GolfNow for dirt cheap. Will definitely bring friends next season.
Seaview Stay & Play Golf Package
Also play in Staten Island. Talked to a club pro at an event in Jersey and he recommended this course. I see it on GolfNow and was looking to play midweek this coming week.
Would you recommend? Was it crowded when you played?
