About
Quail Brook Golf Course in Somerset is one of central New Jersey's top public courses. The challenging design is a favorite amongst local golfers. The layout has a diverse mix of holes, some of which are spacious and wide-open and others that are rolling and tight. Although the golf course may seem short at 6,630 yards from the back tees, don't be fooled by the yardage. The course can feel much longer thanks to the hilly terrain. The front nine has subtler undulations while the back nine is dramatically hilly, which makes it a tough course to walk. Quail Brook Golf Course's undulating fairways lead to challenging sloped greens that are framed with strategically placed bunkers. There aren't too many opportunities for driving, but your short game will definitely get a workout.

Fantastic Course
Great Course that was in great condition and alot of fun to play. One of my favorites that i have played.
Nice course at a fair price
A nice course at a fair price. Front desk staff are very friendly. One negative is that there is no food concession. A couple of coolers containing bottle water is available on the course. Honor system is used in regard to payment. All in all a good course for us average golfers.

This is a solid county course, well maintained. Conditions definitely above average. Course is poorly laid out through housing, but the holes offer a nice variety. Well worth it.
Great course!
Booked an $8 tee time the day before because it was supposed to rain. Ironically the sun came out @ 2:50 as we were about to tee off.
Nick in the clubhouse and Peter the starter were great. Went out of their way to make small talk with us and talk while we waited.
Pace of play was good even with a foursome ahead of us (we were two) Two kids behind us kept hitting up on us.
Worth the toll from Staten Island as it is right off of 287. Will definitely be going back. Nice range and practice chipping green.
Interesting design
The course layout and whole designs are unique and appealing. Excellent Landscaping settings make for a beautiful appearance and enjoyable experience. The Back Nine has exciting holes on each one unique into itself.
Great Course and One of the best values
The course was in excellent condition. We played on a Friday afternoon and had one groups around us until the last few holes. Greens were very challenging and fast. I would highly recommend this course for the better golfer. Club House had very little to offer, no food or drink so its all about the golf here.

Played with another couple and had a blast. The course was in great condition. The weather was cooperative.

Had a foursome and were greeted with friendly, enthusiastic staff who were also very accommodating.

Great shape of layout
It was brautiful golf course. The green was perfect condition to play for a beginner and expert player. We were a little late to get there but a staff was very friendly to let us play no hesitation. It was good experience to play golf from Queens through heavy delaying traffic. Anyhow I strongly recomand for golfer to play this course onese of time. I made reservation by Golf Now on hot deal with low price. If I spend more than $50, I can't say it was worth deal of this golf course.
Good course, great greens
First time playing here and I have to say the conditions were very good, the greens were superb. For beginners the greens are too fast, but if you play golf and appreciate good greens you'll appreciate these. I must admit if I wasn't playing with guys who have played the course before I wouldn't have had a clue where to go or where to aim, tricky windy undulating course. I'll be back for sure
Worth the time but...
First time playing found the layout very fair and the greens challenging but fun. Always happy when a course has a range to warm up and this one does.
Downside for me which the course can't change- I didn't play the tips which are slightly over 6600 yards and the next markers down are at 6000 yards- I thought that that was a big gap between tee locations.. The other more troublesome comment is the back nine has too many ridiculously long gaps between greens and tee boxes all the riding players catch up to the walkers causing waits for almost the whole back nine on even a slower day of play.
Very nice Course
First time playing here, I was very impressed with the conditions being on March 8th. Some challenging holes with undulating level fairways. Will def come back

The course is in good shape for this time of year.
