Worth the hour drive
This course is the best I've played so far in S.W. Florida. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The course was surprisingly green and manicured. I was happy to have been paired up with someone that has played here before because he told me what was ahead before I hit. Water played a big role. Definitely want to play it again!
Excellent course. Challenging. Great condition Fast greens.
Every tee time was booked on a March Wednesday in season. Started 1/2 hr later than our tee time. Some waiting, but 18 hole round was within the 4.5 hours as usual. Several long and challenging holes Beautiful sand traps. Enough water to keep you accurate with your shots. Greens are lightning fast. Well maintained fairways. Small luncheonette with bar. Friendly staff. Played twice. Will come back on a Sunday and again post season.
Great day to be playing Deep Creek
Surprisingly during this time of high season there was hardly anyone on the course. The conditions were dry since no rain has fallen in awhile and the lies at times were a little thin. The greens are always in outstanding shape and the round turned out to be one to remember.
Fun course, great staff!
Nice greens. The course is in good shape. Fun course to play. Excellent staff!
What a difference
Played with a 12:01 tee time. What a difference from the bargain 3:00 time. Pace of play was excellent, no backups, finished the round in just under 4 hours. Staff is excellent, greens fast, very enjoyable.
Deep Creek
Decent course, and very welcoming staff.
Back nine is a little more open and better lay out than front but would still recommend the course.
Fast greens
Greens are fast and well kept especially in this dry weather. Course is challenging but pace was slow most of the way. Overall I like this course and look forward to playing it again.
Nice round
Course is not overly long but the setup makes for a great challenge. Course was in good shape and the greens ran true.
It would appear that it is a popular course as the lineup for players was long after we finished nine.
I would recommend that you get as early a tee time as possible.
There didn't appear to be any long backups.
We would play again.
Need to deal with pace of play
Course was in better shape than last time we played(4 years ago) but the four guys in front of us should have been on a par three course or playing from the junior tees. They need a ranger to ranger and not just drive around. I will not recommend this course. Our guests were embarrassed.
OVERBOOKED & Walk on 4 somes
Although I have played this course several times & really appreciated the layout and pace, NOW it is SEASON, and they are overbooking. Tee time was 2:35 and never got on to course because they allowed 2 foursomes of walk-on players with no desire to keep pace of play, hence the 4 some ahead of us never got off until after 3 & we had to wait until 3:20 to start. As such, with sunset at 6 PM, we just finished 9, although we paid for 18. Furthermore, the pace of play created the "disruption of rythym" desired to enjoy play. So, I guess the lesson is to only schedule 9 if you have to play in the afternoon when there is ANY chance you might have to finish at sunset. All in all, however, would I play there again? Yes. Not in season; or AFTER checking with starter if there is any chance this could happen again. I really felt sorry for those berhind us who had to leave the course before even finishing 9 of the 18 they paid for.
