About
Oak Valley Golf Club boasts the only Arnold Palmer-designed course in the Winston-Salem area. The course sprawls across what used to be old dairy farmland, nestled in the North Carolina foothills. Palmer utilized the rolling, wooded terrain and transformed the site into one of the Triad’s most scenic golf courses. The layout presents many challenges, including strategically placed sand traps along the undulating greens. You will also come across a fair amount of water hazards throughout the golf course. Palmer, known for his "go for broke" playing style, incorporated several interesting risk-reward holes and it has become what the course is known for. Good drives will be generously rewarded while an errant shot will make it tough to even get a bogey. Oak Valley Golf Club is a favorite among local golfers.

Great Course
Course was in great shape and challenging. I would recommend.
Love the course -what happened to the greens?
This is the fourth time I’ve played Oak Valley.
I really enjoy the course. I’m confused as to what happened to greens. The greens were shaggy and spongy. Not only that, but there were weeds growing on the greens and apparently no one fixes their divot at this course. I understand it’s been a wet summer - it just was not the quality I would have expected from such a nice venue.
Given the greens and the price, I plan to go elsewhere for the time being.
Pretty good
Conditions were good. Greens roll true albeit a little slow. Probably getting ready for the winter. Wish other golfers would clean their pitch marks. Staff was whatever. I’d play again!
Excellent Course
Great course and well worth the money, the course is in great condition and the staff is very friendly Highly recommend this course and I will be back. Only issue we had was divots in the fairways people are not covering them up and divots on the green were bad many nobody even bothered to fix so they made the greens look bad. Management needs to get on players to fix their divots and fill the there holes in the fairways.
Course in great shape!
Plays tough, but all the grass is in great shape. The heavily used white tees are the only part that needs some work, but overall great deal on a great layout

Managed strong rainfall from previous day well. Will definitely add to replay list.
Great course but greens not what’s expected
Fairways, bunkers , landing areas and fringe wear great. Then you hit ball on green and all you see is divot holes. That is the only thing disappointed. If I had paid morning rates I would have been highly disappointed
Excellent
best value near Charlotte. Only downside was pace of play but that was not the courses fault. Starter apologized several times and spoke to the group ahead us.
Awesome value
This course was a tremendous value - we played in less than 4 hours, conditions were great. The greens rolled true and were in very good condition considering time of year. Loved it!!!
Very hot
Heat index on the front nine reached 112. Aside from the weather, the golf course was in great great condition. The greens were soft and a little on the slow side but they all rolled true and the speed was very consistent. In my opinion smart greens keepers are not going to cut their greens too short for fear of burning them up in this heat.
Overall, this course has consistently delivered outstanding conditions over the years. You can always count on a great day
