Had a 230 tee time...Spoke to the guy handling the carts 2 times and he has yet to speak back....just cordial...how's it going..aND see ya later....at end if round....greens were in bad shape,ball marks everywhere and dead spots, very thin...there were a couple in good shape.....save you money go somewhere else....

Been playing this course for a long time and it's always been my favorite. They just renovated all the bunkers which makes playing this place an added bonus. The greens were in great shape, and rolling true. Tee boxes and fairways were in great shape. I could go on for days saying great things about this course. Whatever you're doing, keep it up!

Course was in good condition, you can tell the course has a lot of play but the greens were still good!

I would NOT play this course (especially on weekends) at their regular rate, but with a golfnow discount, its well worth your time.

By the way, been playing golf for 20 years and got my first ever ACE at this course, par 3 16th hole, 174 yards, 7-iron!!!

Oak Valley is one of the best layouts in the area. The course is always in nice condition. Summer golf is stressful on bent grass greens so they're in good condition but not fast.

The bunkers were all redone in the last 6 months and the sand is great. However, the fairway bunkers need to get firmed up as they are too soft to make consistent contact.

All in all, very enjoyable.

Made the trek from Charlotte.What a find ,course was in great shape and is a good layout.We all said we would come back.The greens were a little slow but we assumed that was deliberate to protect them through the heat.Highly recommended.Snack bar also good and nice gentleman in pro shop.Thanks.

First time playing this course. Both fairways and greens were in great shape. It is my understanding that the bunkers were upgraded over the last few years. They now have fluffy sand, which takes some practice to get used to. Definitely will be playing here again.

Signed up and got paired with 2 good players. Course was in great shape and a real test of golf. Pace of play was great and staff was outstanding. Will play again and carry my group to play this great zpslmer layout soon.

Course is in impeccable shape. Fairways and tees are thick and proper. The greens had been aerated maybe a little more than a month prior, and they're rolling at a great speed considering the time of year and comparative to local courses in area. The greens also hold a shot properly on account of the aeration, and yet maintained their speed well. No question would highly recommend.

Nice and wide open fairways. Greens were in good condition . The staff is still a little outdated . Sort of make you feel like they are doing you a favor by checking you in . The don't seem accommodating .

The starter was nice!

They also are kind of slow and don't understand when you talk to them in the clubhouseZ

I played Oak Valley with the anticipation of breaking 80. The course is fairly open with several tough, tight lies. It takes a brave soul to pull out driver on some holes, but it will lead to a better second shot. I will be back.

I will never return to this course. I was a singleton and told the starter that I needed to play with someone because I had never played the course. I was told that there was several other golfers on my tee-time. When it was time I was waiting at the first tee and no-one showed up, so I called the pro shop. The guy came out and there was a twosome also waiting behind me at the #1 tee box. He looked to them and with me standing there, they told him they only wanted to play alone. The starter turned to me and said, "I don't know what to do." ( I had previously asked a threesome if I could join them and was also told no.) At this point I was fed up with the totally unfriendly attitude of the clientele and the absolute incompetence of the starter. I got in my cart, went back to my car and drove home. I'm used to playing at courses where the starter will assign people to your group if you aren't starting four players, but this idiot didn't have a clue of what to do. What really bothers me is not just the forfeiture of my money, but that I had driven 31 miles to get there. What a disappointment...since I didn't actually play I can't comment on the course conditions, but I can say it was the most unfriendly and unaccommodating place I've experienced. I'll never go back.

I really like this course, they paired me up with some really good guys and we had a very enjoyable round of golf.

I will play this course every opportunity i get.

Not much grass on fairways due to being winter. Greens were coming back in from lack of rain last year. Rained on us entire back 9 but was still enjoyable. Greens were the hardest part...almost like a mtn course with the slope. Had 4 holes where I 3 putted, but still shot an 80 so can't complain. Would give 5 stars hopefully next time we play in spring when grass comes back in and greens are smoother. Will def plan on playing here again and with golfnow deals you can't beat.

I played on the Friday after Thanksgiving, one of the busiest golf days of the year. I teed off on time and the round was about 4 1/2 hours. The course was in good shape. The bunkers were a little neglected and 10 green was in rough shape, but otherwise it was great. The greens were fast but true. Overall it was an enjoyable round on a perfect day.

Course in great winter condition, tees and fairways nicely mowed. Greens were smooth and very fast, probably top 5 fastest i have ever played. Great courteous staff. Went on Monday so not very busy, played alone in 3.5 hrs and hit all the practice shots i wanted. 5star experience.

This course is average and if you don't have a special with golf now you will over pay by 10 dollars or more..Its tight on a few holes but is average all across the board..

Played the course for the first time last March with a friend from Richmond, VA. We decided then we wanted to come back in the fall. There's always something about an Arnold Palmer course that is appealing to the eye and makes you want to play well. This course is no exception.

The only negative on the course is that they could groom the bunkers a bit better (but the decision to use the native red sand does give local character and they are no impossible). This fact should in no way prevent one from playing this beautiful layout.

The staff are professional and gracious. Highly recommend playing here.
