Great Value
Lovely course that’s located just outside of downtown Black Mountain. This course is scoreable, but yet has its challenges. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn’t want to pay crazy money on a tee time.

So. Slow.
Pace of play is abysmal if you start after 9 am. No one will let you play through. Tee time was full yet they added a walk on at the same time. Guys in front of us were hitting 2/3 balls per shot. I’ve played at 8 am and it was quick, fun and enjoyable. Noon tee time is no good.

Greens great shape, fairways too. Tee boxes not too good. Great fun to play and scenic mountain golf. The course is fair and a challenge and makes for a great day of golf.

Rude Pro Shop Mgr.
Driving 2 hrs. to play this course, Mr. Pro Shop Mgr. was rude! The check in counter resembled that of a McDonald’s as Mr. Mgr. was munching on his Big Mac & fries while watching his Sci Fi tv program. No “Welcome to Black Mt. GC. We walked in and walked right back out to head home. Wasted $60.

Golf Heaven
What a gem! The ideal mountain style course that’s not too narrow but also has plenty of hazards to avoid. Greens were immaculate, tee boxes could use some work. Other than a few wet spots the fairways were great! If I’m ever back this way again I will 100% be playing another round. For the price it has to be the best bargain in the area. Great views for people from out of town.

Wonderful staff. Great views. Solid greens. Potential to be a great course.
Pace of play was terrible. Tee boxes were dirt.

Great course. Good layout. A few difficult holes with blind shots. Very good condition. Definitely would play again if I was in town longer. Highly recommend
