Best price for the buck. Scenic and challenging
What a beautiful course. Up and down and all around it is a great value.
Expected more
Donald’s Ross could not have signed off on the layout of the front nine. It was not laced out or designed by him.
The back nine was actually better and much more enjoyable except for the 747 yard 17th hole.
Par 6 holes are not necessary and there are no par 5’s on the back nine.
Good mountain course
I would definitely return to this course, but a few of the holes are very difficult due to extremely narrow fairways. I lost a half dozen balls on this course which is very high for me. The greens, overall, were in good shape. I found the tee boxes to often not be level, but I guess that’s the charm of a mountain course. The views were terrific and the pace of play was very acceptable. I
Fast Greens
Very fast greens the day I played. Everything else was just fine. I really like this course and if I lived closer I would join.
Pro shop staff are top notch, course is good
The fellas in the pro shop did a great job helping me with an injury I'm dealing with. I needed some adhesive tape and they exhausted all their efforts to assist me. I don't know why some people say they're rude, far from the truth. As an old fogey, I've learned to treat people with respect if you expect to be treated with respect. Dealing with the general public takes heart, and these gentlemen showed me theirs. So sorry I didn't get your names but I will be back...
The course played fast and firm, and you had to be careful with your approach or you went long. And chipping back downhill will test your game. The fairways had thin spots and hard pan in places, but you should expect that this time of year. The greens rolled very fast and my ball mostly held it's line. I did have a couple bounce off line by ball marks; FIX YOUR MARKS!
This is a good municipal course, so play it with a HD tee time!
Best when dry
This is a good course, well maintained and well run. However, after rainy days the fairways get soaked from mountain runoffs and we were cart path only, as needed, to protect the course. Best to play this after a few days of no rain.

Expected better
The front nine was bad. I do not believe that Donald Ross would have been involved with the design. The back nine was much better however the 747 yard par 6 17th hole was disappointing. The last 130 yards were uphill !!!
Far too much local knowledge was required. I may return to play it again but it may not be soon.

Great mountain course
My wife and I played this together and it was a great experience.. I played on consecutive days and played well both days. My wife played with me on the 2nd day and we both parade the infamous par 6 17th! It was definitely a highlight
