Connestee Falls Golf Course

Awesome course that was in excellent condition. Fairways and Greens were in immaculate shape. Even the deers on the course were friendly!!!

Great layout with elevation changes on almost every hole. Course in great condition for this time of year. Good pace of play, friendly staff. Great value and will definitely go back.

First time to play at Connestee. I live in Knoxville and made the nearly 3 hour drive and it was worth it. Course is in great shape. Greens had been punched about 3-4 weeks ago and were almost perfect. And they are very difficult to read. A lot of subtle slopes. The rest of the course is very playable. If you want to make a golf trip, I highly recommend going here to play. I will be back!

I found a new favorite golf course. The layout is amazing! The conditions were plush! The views were spectacular! I can’t wait to play this course again!

Played on 2/25/2022 and being winter this course was in great shape. The tee boxes, fairways and greens were green and the greens rolled true and were very receptive to approach shots. The greens were a little small and rolled around a 10 downhill and a 9 if you had a uphill putt. Saw around fifteen deer and one white squirrel on the course. The layout of the course was great. This will be a definite play when visiting Asheville again.

Course was good, unfortunately suffered a common occurrence with most public courses these days which was playing as fast pace single getting stuck behind threesome of beginners who had no concern for letting me play through despite waiting on them at every tee box with no one ahead. Staff was very nice and course conditions were good considering weather and time of year.

Connestee Falls was a joy to return to. Generous fairways, sloped greens, lots of deer & a few white squirrels, helped make a fun day on the course. Many uphill approach shots to elevated greens, make it fairly tough, but overall a great value with wonderful views and a very friendly staff.

Love the course. It's a 45 minute drive for us, but we try to play there once a month. It's a mountain course with a lot of elevation changes. The greens are in good condition, consistent, large and usually well taken care of for the amount of play they receive. Course plays narrow with trees on almost every hole. If you have a wicked slice/hook, be ready to search. Contours of the fairways can betray a shot with side spin. Staff is always friendly and keep you informed. My biggest complaint is a lack of a ranger. Pace of play is always, always an issue. Perhaps if we played at a different time, things would be different. Unfortunately, 4-5 hours is an expected round. Our group of 3 usually can play in 3.5-4 hours. Make sure you enjoy the deer as we've never played without seeing at least 20, this time, we saw close to 50 as we had plenty of time to stop and count them. Get your camera's ready on the back as one of the best long range mountains views in Western North Carolina is located on one of the holes on the back 9.

Great condition, even considering it’s winter golf in western NC..

Greens were in great shape and rolled nice. My one issue is that all of the greens were a little small in size, so you really need to make good on your approach shots. Staff were very friendly.. The on-site Bar was temporarily closed due to Staffing /covid so we couldn’t do a 19th .

Looking forward to playing it again!
