Great Track!!
Wish I lived closer so I could play it more often.
Little River
This course has plenty of interesting holes. Course was in good shape and well maintained. Three great finishing holes.
Nice variety of holes
On a wet and rainy day the course conditions held up very well. The opening 9 is fairly open and forgiving allowing you an opportunity to get your game in shape while the back 9 is much tighter and requires some good course management. A good husband and wife course with the men able to go,back and make it a good test while the ladies can move up and have an enjoyable day.
Beautiful course. Very challenging for a beginner.
I do love this course. It is beautiful and very well maintained. Many elevation changes which made it difficult for me (Im a beginner). The course ate several of my balls even when i hit good shots! I will definitely play here again, but I'll probably wait. Until I'm better! Great rate on Golfnow.
Great course features and greens are in outstanding condition!
First hole sets the course mood with a long carry over water from the member/men tees. Almost all greens are receptive to shots from the fairway or rough and the green putt true. A truly a pleasure to play this outstanding course at a fantastic golfnow.com price.
Great golfing experience
One of the must play courses in the Pinehurst area. Well maintained conditions with a challenging layout for all ability levels. Some of the best rolling greens you will putt on.
Good, interesting, challenging but fair course
Very interesting hilly layout that has some challenging holes but reward good shots. Had to use almost every club in the bag. The staff was friendly but offered no information not asked for. Other golfers encountered on the course were very friendly. This is worth the extra drive if you are in the RDU area.
Great course
Course was in great shape, rough was fair and greens rolling smooth.
Fun course. Well maintained. You can play it down-- no prob at all.
I play Little River frequently. It's a great track. Very fun. Greens are smooth. It's one of my favorite courses in the Pinehurst area. Nice bar too for after round refreshments. I always have fun when I play there, even if I play poorly. That says a lot about the environment at Little River. I recommend this course.
Nice course, staff could care less if you are there or not.
Greens were good. Everything else was a sloppy mess due to a lot of rain and very poor course drainage. While walking by a course employee I said "hi" and was ignored. Poor instruction while checking in caused me to drive around looking for the range, after giving up I returned the bag of range balls. So far this is the 5th course I have played on a rainy week in North Carolina, not one course had anyone at the end of my round offer to wipe the mud from our clubs (and would have received a nice tip) confusing?
Little River -- challenging, great greens
We play Little River every year....it is always in great shape. The greens are very challenging. Would definitely recommend.
Extremely Nice Golf Course!
Course was in great shape. Greens were outstanding especially considering the weather this year. Course can play long but has a super layout, especially the back!
Nice layout
Liked this course because of the elevation changes and variety of holes. Greens were in good shape despite recent rainy spell. Used every cluc in the bag. Will definitely come back.
Great course!
Had a blast! Staff was exceptional!
Will play again!
Awesome!
I have played many courses in the pinehurst area over the past few years and this one is unlike the rest. Not the typical pinehurst course at all but definitely worth the play. Very long and very challenging but it is very well kept up. I highly recommend it to play!
Fastest greens in the area after #2
Amazing what they have done to what was always a good challenging track without putting in new greens. There were people working on the course to keep in in very good condition.
Great Value on 4.5 Star Course
Fun but challenging course. Greens were excellent. Fairways were great. Pace was perfect. Burgers and fries were also quite good. All in all, well worth the money and would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a top notch course at a good price.
Great escape!!!
This is a great golf getaway. I think we"ve been 3 or 4 years now. We normally take 5 to 6 groups to Little River. Great stay & play course. It can be very challenging course starting with the first hole, a long par 4 so i suggest warming up first. You do not need driver on every hole, some short & tight fairways. Personally, i like to use all the clubs in my bag. Little River has very nice and clean rooms, right beside the pro shop, restaurant and bar. There are little to no homes on the course, just you and your buddies. The one thing i would like to see, is for them to redo the putting green. Over all, it was a pretty sweet time had by all. We will be back!!!
Open yet demanding
The course feels wide open off the tee but will tighten up as you approach the greens where you really need to place your shots carefully. Front nine feels more wide open than the back so it's a good warm up. Pretty good conditioning, very smooth greens (and pretty fast). Yardage markers not easy to find so a GPS or laser range finder would be handy. Would play it again, a very nice layout.
