About
Located near the banks of Swift Creek, Lochmere Golf Club has plenty of water incorporated into the layout, coming into play on nearly every hole. The golf course stretches across a lush, gently rolling landscape sprinkled with mature trees and ponds. The terrain showcases the best in Triangle golf. At just over 6,600 yards it is not particularly long, but it provides plenty of challenges. It is a tight course that will test your accuracy with narrow fairways lined with trees. The small greens that are heavily protected by well placed bunkers demand thoughtful strategy and pinpoint control. The golf course offers a fair challenge but it is still accessible for beginners, especially from the forward tees. Lochmere G.C. is a favorite among Cary locals, both for its enjoyable design and its affordable rates.

Extra golf cart charge
GolfNow app includes cart fees on this course. Front desk guy forced me to pay extra fee for $20 cart rental or share the cart with other buddy. Very upset, unpleasant about their staffs attitude and found many red flags on google business review was true.
I paid extra $10 for cart which they forced, and discounted on me to pay. I hope their business goes bankrupt and fail.
Course was in incredible shape
Showed up for an 11:16 tee time on one of the hottest days of the year not knowing what to expect. For my first time at this course, it blew me away. Will be going back, hopefully with some better scores
Great time at Lochmere.
The course was well maintained. Very good layout with well placed challenges. The price was nice and the staff was accommodating. Can’t wait to go back and play again!
Very Good Conditions
Greens were top dressed but rolled true. Rough isn't terribly long but is dense. Fairways are cut pretty tight (width wise).....Best condition I've seen at Lochmere in over 3 years.

solid neighborhood course. some tough green complexes. the pin placements on the day I went were absolutely diabolical. made for a nice challenge. fun course. friendly staff. will definitely be back.
Awesome place.
For the money, you are getting a 5 star course. Place is beautiful and well groomed. Won’t find a better course at 40 dollars on a weekend.
Good value for what it is
Solid course, pace was pretty slow but enjoyed the round.
