Salem Glen Country Club

Great course to play. Friendly staff in the pro shop as well as the grill area. Driving range in great condition. Course layout is a fun one. Some challenging holes but nothing extreme. Coming up on hot weather the tee boxes with coolers had nice cold water plus the cafe has ice water waiting for golfers at the turn. A few ponds and creeks to steer clear of but that's part of the challenge. Overall Great price for great play, a course that has moved to my top three.

The staff did not address when I called to reconfirm. My partner and sumized when the parking lot was empty that the greens would be horrible. Greens keeper did not water. Look out for problems.

I ua d the app and the value was great. 4 some we paid 20.00 each on a great course. I think the regular rate was 45. So I feel the app paid for itself. Forgot it’s free. As for the course a great place to play and the staff was superior service. Hi have to play Salem Glen

Salem Glen is one of the top three public courses in the Winston-Salem, NC area. Well maintained, nice golf carts, friendly staff. However, they need to redo the sand traps. They do not drain well and the sand is hard.

We came down for Spring Break from Chicago and looked forward to playing a Nicklaus designed course. We were disappointed as soon as we pulled into the parking lot and saw nothing but brown!

The fairways were in terrible shape. The grass was brown and matted down. We basically played off dirt/mud. The greens were decent, but that doesn't count for much if the rest of the course is in bad shape.

Pace of play was also sloooooow! Over 5 hours for a twosome to get through 18.

We have more green grass in Chicago this time of year!

Course was in very good condition. Staff very nice and friendly. Always enjoy playing here.

My wife and I drove 10 hours from Canada for a mini golf trip because the weather forecast for the weekend was fantastic in North Carolina. I check Golfnow for deals and rely heavily on reviews for my choices, so everyone should take the time to review the good, the bad & the ugly. It sure is appreciated.

I enjoyed the round. Fairway grass was still dormant and brown but the green greens made a nice contrast. Fellow golfers ( 2 foursomes) allowed my 2 some to play thru. Classy. Play the course if you are in the area

Having moved to the area in 2016 I played all the local courses. I could go on and on about the issues I found on all the locals with the exception of this course. Salem Glen Country Club is without doubt the best overall golfing experience in the area. The course conditions are always excellent, the staff is exceptional and will always provide a smile and help if needed, the maintenance crew takes much pride in their course and it shows. This course suites players of all capabilities ranging from 5000 yards to over 7000 yards with 5 sets of tee boxes. Beautiful quick bent grass greens with just the right amount of undulation that will challenge players of all levels. I play much golf in the Myrtle Beach area and this course compares to some of their best in every way.

After playng here many times I decided to become a member. This is the best golfing decision I have made in years. The golfing events put on by both an outstanding Men's Club and the course are fantastic. Daily, and membership prices are very reasonable. Whether your a nomad golfer that plays everywhere, a local looking for great conditions and a great experience, or someone considering joining a golf club I give Salem Glen Country Club 5 stars and my highest recommendation.

The par 3's are tricky and can play very difficult, the par 4's provide the right amount of both short and long holes and the par 5's are some of the best in the Carolina's. The 3rd shot into the par 5, 14th ranging from 75 to 120 yards is the most demanding 3rd shot into a par five that I have ever played. You have got see this for yourself. With just the right amount of water hazards, wide smooth fairways in spots, smooth fast greens, you have got to play this course and I am sure you will come to the same conclusions I did! PLAY THIS COURSE!

If someone is looking for a great course that is in incredible shape, Salem Glen is the place to be! The course is challenging even for the best of golfer while also being fair to those players just getting started. Simply put, it doesn't get any better than Salem Glen.

There are so many courses within a 45 minute drive in the area, but only one that is first-class in every area.

The head pro, Justin Malone, is not your typical pro. He makes eye contact, really cares about you and is very personable.

The entire staff, from Katie, who runs Jack's Grille, to Cory in the shop, are all the best in the industry.

When you play there, make sure you stop at the lake on #15 and read the "Becky Baker Fountain" plaque.

With so many options in our area, we are very fortunate to have Salem Glen, with a course owner (Darren Mangus) who understands the game and what we all need in a golf course and facility.

The course layout is fantastic, with a mix of low lands, high ground, woods, water and sand. The course offers something for all. The staff is amazing and very accomodating. The resturant and grill facilities are top notch. It’s a fantastic value. Perhaps the best part of this one are the friendly members and golfers. Golfing alone? No problem, welcome to the group! I highly reccomend Salem Glen.

Awesome Experience like the title says. The golf staff were extremely friendly and made me feel welcome. I will be back for sure. Can't wait to bring more of my golfing friends. Met two of the Golf Professionals on the range and they were first rate as well. Jimmy and Justin I believe were there names. The restaurant offers amazing food and a quaint place to have a beverage after the round. Very impressed and seriously considering becoming a member.

Course is in great shape and staff was very friendly! Even provided a cart with cover since it was so cold!
