Rocky River Golf Club at Concord

Played Saturday afternoon and called it quits after a 3hr front nine. Not a marshal to be seen.

Course was fine for the time of year. Greens were in great condition. Just sooooo slow. Over three hours on the front nine alone. Tee time at 2:50 and only got in 14 holes before sunset

Terrific test of golf with particularly challenging opening few holes requiring very accurate drives.

Need to have a faster pace for foursomes during twilight .

Stuck behind 4 people taking multiple practice swings a piece in the tee box is ridiculous.

Beautiful weather but fairways were very wet because of all the rain the day before. Group in front of us had an open hole in front of them for most of the day making our round 5 hours long. It would have been nice if a ranger came through to make sure this didn't happen. I played with a couple and a golfer who never ever played a round. I walked and we still had to wait for the group in front of us.

I played the course a day after a very steady day of rain. There was a lot of standing water and muddy conditions. It appears that the course is a little slow to drain. With the exception of one green that was under repair, the balance of greens were in good condition but very slow. The layout is enjoyable and the marsh areas were teaming with a variety of birds. It made up for the lack of birdies on my score card. Starter was very friendly and helpful. Looking forward to coming back when the fairways green up.

Good challenge for the mid-range handicapper. Some blind shots but overall the fairways are wide to allow a slightly off tee shot

One of my favorite courses around Charlotte. Course was pretty soggy after heavy rain earlier in the week but greens were still great and course overall in great shape despite the winter and heavy rain. 4(?) green was under heavy repair after the rain but still playable.

Course is in great shape, even for January. Layout is fun, I always enjoy playing here. Pace of play was brutal though, a group of 3 held play up so bad and made it a 5 + hour round on a Friday. I thought the course might have been backed up, but the group in front of us got through these 3 guys at the turn and we never saw them again. Fun course but catch the wrong group and you’re going to be waiting between every shot.

First Time Playing the Course, Right before the holiday. Played as a single with a threesome. The course wasn't too hard (comparatively, I played awful & that's not the course's fault). It was well taken care of in terms of the leaves were under control and in decent control in terms the overseed / greens handled alright for December. There was some forgiveness at points and if you just don't be dumb, you should be alright.
